It is complete with a hot tub, ping-pong table, fire pit, grand deck, and magnificent mountain views! Our open, modern, lodge-like cabin will leave you breathless! Upon arrival a flat, paved driveway will lead you to a parking pad at 3,400 ft elevation. Beds: 1 King, 2 Queens, Trundle Bed. Excellent Cell Service | Strong Wi-Fi for Remote Working | Paved Roads to Cabin | Lower Elevation w/Views | Seclusion | Large Flat/Hard-Packed Gravel Driveway This newly-renovated, clean, open, spacious, VERY PRIVATE 3/2 cabin sits just above the Maggie Valley Country Club. Breathtaking views. The flat, paved driveway with large parking pad for four vehicles will have you wondering if you're even on a mountain. This cabin is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Smoky Mountains, Soco Falls, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and Lake Junaluska. We love the mountain views, the glimpses of the area black bears and elk, the golf course, the summer hummingbirds and fireflies, as well as enjoy close proximity to area conveniences. We hope you create bountiful memories at our cabin. SPECTACULAR views from the grand deck. The cabin also has a three-season room with hot tub just off the deck where you can soak your stress away or sooth your sore muscles after a day of hiking/skiing/sightseeing. The cabin offers guests a wood-burning fireplace, a fire pit, a game room, washer & dryer, gas grill, WIFI, streaming SmartTVs in the living room and each bedroom. THE SPACE When you arrive, you will be greeted by the seclusion of the cabin. Once inside, you will enjoy an open-floor concept, grand windows, a massive fireplace, a cathedral ceiling, and amazing views. The GPS directions bring you up to Edgewater, BUT BE sure to notice where Edgewater splits and then take a right. You will see the posted sign that says, "Hillside Hideaway" with lots of pine straw along the flat, paved driveway. We provide all basic amenities, but you will need to bring everything you require to have an amazing Mountain Cabin experience with you. WASHER AND DRYER for your use. Strong WiFi most days, but when weather is bad, there's no guarantee. Wood-burning fireplace Propane grill (each guest who uses it is required to clean it after use) Opportunity to enjoy a breathtaking QUIET view off the deck with a hot cup of coffee or tea! Although the cabin is located on a semi-busy mountain, you will feel like you're the only one here. Very peaceful. Modern, yet rustic, with a lodge-like feel, family/friends gatherings will be memorable. The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed with a big-screen SmartTV with cable. There's a full kitchen with updated appliances; refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker. We do have a Large Hot Tub in the three-season room with a view of the mountainside with complete privacy. Other things to note: In addition to the nightly rate, the following fees will apply: $210 Cabin/Hot Tub Cleaning Fee (includes extensive cleaning and turnover, as well as hot tub maintenance before and after every guest) INCLUDED IN TOTAL PRICE 11% Tax – NC State & Haywood County Taxes. • Please note: Late checkouts without prior approval will incur a $100 fine. This property is not suitable for guests with mobility challenges. The home includes multiple stairs, uneven surfaces, and narrow doorways that may make accessibility difficult for those using wheelchairs or walkers. We are close to Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Teague’s Convenience Store, and several Dollar General stores so that you may stock up for your vacation. There’s wonderful hiking trails within a very short drive from Hillside Hideaway. Other attractions up here in the Mountains are BEARS, ELK, FOX, AND FIREFLIES. Just 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway Just 12 minutes to the Cataloochee Ski Resort 20 minutes to Harrah's Casino in Cherokee 30 minutes to Great Smoky Mountain National Park 30 minutes to Asheville's famous BILTMORE HOUSE 10 minutes to Waynesville This cabin has enhanced CDC cleaning measures that are implemented. The property is cleaned with disinfectant and contactless check-in and out. As with any trip, unexpected situations can happen, including changes in weather or illness. While travel insurance isn’t required, we do encourage it for peace of mind, as this property’s cancellation policy is firm and non-negotiable. We ordered some surprises for my daughter‘s birthday, which were already stocked into the fridge and we had everything needed for the whole weekend at our fingertips. There are tons of stores when you get off the mountain. The house was very clean and even came with some bathtoom essentials. When I had a question, the hist was quick to reply and help me with any questions.Cons: The house does appear a little smaller than the picture but not by much. I wish the listing informed me of how steep the driveway was and that the road isnt ideal for two car. Thankfully, we had another driver who was able to get up and we did have to pull over to the very edge kf the road when we would meet another car. The house has no child proofing. I'm guessing that the online welcome book is just general information for some stuff and not house specific. It mentioned there was a gas fireplace but there wasn't. Not a big deal. It also mentioned snacks waiting on the counter and when we arrived, there were none. Again, not a big deal but the online welcome book needs to be updated and looked over by the host. Lastly, the makn level bathtub will not plug for a bath. I had the hive my toddler a bath in the sink and it was not ideal since the sink was shallow. Would I stay here again? It's a strong possibility. From the time we booked it, until the time we left, the host was in communication to make sure everything was perfect. We booked here for our 22nd Anniversary, and the best part was the extra effort that the Cabin Fairy (Eve) to make it special for my wife. This cabin is close to everything, but secluded enough that we could enjoy our long weekend without having to worry about neighbors or anyone bothering us. The back porch was great for morning coffee, or afternoon relaxing with a book and a cold adult beverage. Very quiet neighborhood with a nice mountain view. Conveniently located to Maggie Valley and Waynesville. The grill had propane and cooked a great steak. You are looking down over the tree canopy into the valley at another mountain range that is covered with trees. We were there early May and were able to see the spring flowering trees. There is a flowering dogwood tree right off the balcony. Really beautiful, would love to do again in the fall. Lots of beautiful areas to walk and enjoy nature. Great shopping and restaurants 15 minutes away in Waynesville. Saw two golf courses just minutes away from the cabin. Also a river where people were fishing. Saw elk in a farmers field just as you come into Maggie Valley. Asheville is close by and a great place to shop, need a day just to see the River walk art area. The Biltmore was a fun place to visit.
