Hot tub, wifi, A/C, arcade game. This cabin is located right next to the Maggie Valley golf course greens. The cabin is very easy to get to with no steep/winding roads. You do not need a 4-wheel drive to access the property. There are 2 driveways for parking. The entrance to the first driveway is shared. This one has room for 2 cars or a small trailer. This driveway is located at the rear side of the cabin and has newly installed steps gaining access to the front door. The second or main driveway can fit 2-3 cars. Both driveways are on level ground making it easy for motorcycle parking. The exterior of the cabin has been freshly painted and a new metal roof installed. Outside you will enjoy the sounds of the rushing creek which is located in front of the cabin by the road. Relax in one of the rocking chairs on the front porch and listen to the creek or read a book. The hot tub is located on the front porch with wrap around porch lights for a nice nighttime ambiance. The hot tub is also covered so you can relax even if it's raining (but not lightning). There is a charcoal grill on the porch. There is one security camera pointed towards the main driveway. To enter the house, you will be provided with your own code for keyless entry. There are 2 levels to the cabin. Downstairs, you will find the main living area and master bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. There is a gas fireplace for use in colder months. Enjoy the cozy fireplace with just pushing a button on the remote. Above the fireplace is a 58-inch smart TV. Enjoy Spectrum cable or sign on to your own streaming accounts on the Roku TV. There are some board games, puzzles and books for your enjoyment. There is a sit-down arcade game for additional entertainment. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook meals. For coffee drinkers-there is your choice of a drip, stove-top percolator, or a single serve Keurig. There is a microwave, toaster, crock pot, wine opener, blender, hand mixer, and a waffle maker. The dining room table has seating for 4 and the island has 4 stools underneath for additional seating. The laundry room has a stackable washer/dryer. There is an iron and ironing board. There are 3 bedrooms each with a queen-sized bed. One of the bedrooms upstairs also has 2 twin beds. Each bedroom has a large 55-inch TV providing Spectrum cable. They are Roku smart TV's so you can also sign in to your own account for streaming. There is a dresser in each bedroom. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom with a newly renovated walk-in cave-like shower. The upstairs bathroom has a combination tub/shower located between the 2 bedrooms. There is a hair dryer in each bathroom. We have stayed in several cabins over the years and this definitely rates as one of our favorites! The proximity to town was very convenient. Our kids loved being next to the creek and had lots of fun with the arcade games! They also enjoyed the twin beds upstairs! My wife and I enjoyed listening to the creek while sitting in the hot tub ! Loved the gaming table. We went to Maggie Valley to take our four kids skiing and unfortunately the ski slopes were closed. Being able to ski would have topped our trip off. The only reason I gave it a 4 on accuracy is that the photos make it look like there is a bit of a view, but the back windows overlook a retaining wall and the road is very close out front. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin was cozy and nicely decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. Personally, I enjoyed the video game console. Playing the old arcade games really took me back to my childhood. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the living room, complete with a fireplace, provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. I only have two minor issues:1\. The proximity of the neighboring properties allowed for a clear view of the hot tub area. Maybe putting up privacy lattice, curtains, etc. on the end on the deck could solve that. Although, it didn't stop us from taking advantage of the hot tub. 2\. The bed on the main floor was extremely firm and uncomfortable. This is normal for most rentals, but just wanted to bring it up for other guests. A mattress pad or topper would come in handy there. Overall, it was a fantastic getaway, and I can't wait to return! It’s much smaller than the pictures led us to believe. The only outside seating area is a front porch. The master bed was uncomfortable and creaked to the point we would wake up if the other would role over. The sheets were “Bally” also. We knew there was not any trash pick up at the home, but did not realize it was 4 miles away, which was very inconvenient. There was no air conditioner or vents upstairs so we had to purchase a fan. The bathroom upstairs had no place to hang towels, and no shelves or cabinet to put toiletries on or in. Overall, the cabin had essential needs and there was room enough for 4 adults.
