Huertas Ce bel appartement de deux chambres et deux salles de bains est situé au cœur de Madrid, dans l’exclusive Calle Huertas. En entrant dans l’appartement, nous trouvons un beau hall d’entrée d’où nous accédons au couloir qui distribue l’appartement. À gauche se trouve la zone appartenant à la chambre principale, composée d’un petit salon avec une télévision et un canapé-lit, en la traversant, nous atteignons la chambre composée de deux lits simples et d’une belle salle de bains spacieuse et élégante salle de bains avec baignoire. De retour dans le hall du distributeur, à droite, nous accédons à la deuxième chambre avec un lit double et une autre salle de bain complète en suite avech douche. La cuisine est l’espace suivant que nous trouvons et elle est entièrement équipée avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin, elle est également complètement indépendante. Au bout du couloir on trouve une belle chambre design, très spacieuse, avec un coin salon et un coin repas. C’est extérieur donnant la façade à la rue Huertas. La hauteur des balcons et des fenêtres lui donne beaucoup de lumière naturelle. L’emplacement de l’appartement est magnifique, au coeur de la ville. \*\*Cet appartement est loué de façon saisonnière, pour des séjours de moyenne ou courte durée, et en totale conformité avec la réglementation LAU comme "usage autre qu’une résidence principale." Les locations à des fins touristiques ne sont pas autorisées ; le séjour doit être motivé par des raisons professionnelles, personnelles ou familiales, etc., et la personne qui loue doit résider en dehors de Madrid. Check-in and check-out were easy and the location was very convenient to lots of restaurants, shops, Plaza del Sol, and the Prado.Two items to note --1) The secondary bathroom provides little to no privacy, as there is only art-adorned see-through glass separating the bathroom from the sleeping area.2) The apartment is over or adjacent to a nightclub that stays open very late. Check in was easy and the facilities were as promised. Our daughter loved the secondary bedroom which would make an amazing primary suite if it had a king bed instead of two singles. The actual primary suite is much smaller and the a/c had trouble cooling it, but it was very hot in Madrid the week we were there. A fan would have been a welcome addition. The living room was much more comfortable, temperature-wise, but the noise from the trash trucks each night and the bar next door could be bothersome to light sleepers. Location of this VRBO can not be beat!! It is a block or so from the Prado and then maybe a 10 minute walk to the Palace and the Plaza Mayor. There is a VERY good tapas place (C&T) right outside the front door -- don't sleep on this one. 2 for 1 drinks and really friendly staff.The apartment was very well set up with a balcony that overlooked the action, kitchen with washer/dryer combo (takes a REALLY long time to do a load, so keep that in mind), and a ton of space to spread out. My only note (and this is probably more for families with small children) is that the main door is in the center of the apartment with one bedroom in the front of the apartment and the other bedroom in the back. You can not hear people in the back bedroom (which is probably perfect for anyone except those with children!). The apartment cools nicely in the summer, is quiet from street noise, and very clean. No issues at all with the apartment. Check-in and check-out was VERY easy. Someone from staff came to meet us and go over the keys, how to use the A/C, and tell us about the apartment (and let us check in 4 hours early after a train ride--which was SO appreciated). Overall: highly recommend this apartment (just make sure it fits your group's needs) ##### Christi R. The balcony windows were wonderful to have open in the evenings to see the streets and get a breeze. The street below does get noisy at night, but you can’t hear it in the bedrooms. Genteel Home Apartments (the rental company) was very helpful - even helped set up pick up and drop offs at the airport - and gave us recommendations of places to eat. She patiently answered my questions and arranged rides for us, no small task given we were a family of 4 adults with lots of luggage. Secondly, the apartment was both spacious and in a great location! We were able to walk everywhere, and had lots of great food options nearby. It is located within a walking distance to most Madrid's attractions and Atocha train/metro station. Although the neighbourhood is busy at night, the bedrooms are in the back and nights are very quiet. There are hundreds of great restaurants in the area. The location is ideal - out the door are markets, cafes, bars, etc. Anything for food or drink you can find within a few blocks walking distance. About 3/4 of a mile walk is the Puerta del Sol and the metro station so easy to hop onto metro if needed! The host was very quick to respond, provided clear instructions for check in and was available to meet when we arrived. Highly recommend for a stay in Madrid! ##### Kerrie P.
