Despite being right in the city center, both the living and sleeping areas have windows that provide natural light and surprising tranquility, thanks to being on the fifth floor. This will allow you to rest well after enjoying the city. Please note that the building does not have an elevator. The studio features a comfortable 135 cm bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals. It also includes heating, air conditioning, a wardrobe, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, free Wi-Fi, bed linens, towels, and toiletries to make you feel at home. An ideal place to make Madrid your home and enjoy your stay with total comfort. HOW TO MOVE Metro: \-Metro station and suburban Puerta del Sol (lines 1, 2 and 3)-Gran Vía metro station (lines 1 and 5) IMPORTANT NOTES:-The studio is located on the 5th floor with no elevator. \-Rental cots are available for €30 per stay. Please remember to request one by contacting the host prior to your arrival. \-Tenants must present a valid ID and a credit card at check-in. \-Parties and similar events are not permitted at this property. \-The tenant will be required to sign a seasonal rental agreement. This contract respects the original conditions of the booking and must specify the duration of the stay, indicating that the purpose of the rental is not indefinite occupation of the property nor use as a permanent residence. It must also include the tenant’s habitual residence address (where they are officially registered) and state the reason for the rental.-The address where the keys are delivered is different from that of the apartment. \-Please note that if your arrival is on the same day as your booking, we cannot guarantee that the apartment will be ready before 5:30 PM.-Montera Street, where the apartment is located, is popularly known for hosting some brothels. These establishments are currently very well regulated and do not cause any kind of disturbance. However, if you pay attention, it is still common to see people working as prostitutes on the street. Although this is becoming less frequent, these businesses still exist in several buildings along the street. The brothels operate only during daylight hours, and there is a police station on the same street, so safety in the heart of Madrid is more than guaranteed. We like to inform our tenants about this because there is one of these establishments in our building. We assure you that it does not cause any inconvenience or issues, but you may see some women at the entrance or along the street. This apartment was ideal for my three week solo stay in Madrid. It’s centrally located so I was able to walk anywhere and everywhere. Tons of great coffee shops, restaurants, and clothing stores nearby, plus of course all of the attractions like the Prado, Royal Palace, and Retiro Park. The apartment itself has been arranged really well so even though it is not super large, it feels spacious. I used the kitchenette for some basic cooking and the Wi-Fi for work and Zoom calls. A couple things to note that I think are already clear in the listing: the apartment is on the fifth floor so it’s a lot of stairs to the top. This was totally fine for me but just something to keep in mind. Also, since you are so centrally located it is LOUD all the time. Depending on your own activities or how deep of a sleeper you are this might not matter. I put on a white noise app on my phone and that really helped me not get woken up by the revelers who are truly out until the wee morning hours. Earplugs would also solve this issue. But at over 200 euros/nt, you can do much better. The place is TINY - can barely stand up in half of it. The hookers on the front stoop made the whole experience rather sad. The kitchen is barely functional. No amenities of any kind no salt, pepper, coffee, etc. or even the most basic staples -- so we never ate there.
