La Latina is one of the areas of Madrid with more history and at the same time full of life and atmosphere, with a modern and alternative spirit, full of interesting bars, restaurants and shops. Many places of interest are nearby for a walk, such as the Opera area, the Royal Palace, the quiet and pleasant gardens of Campo del Moro or the famous Puerta del Sol. The area has very good communications, with several metro stations and bus stops that allow you to move quickly and conveniently to any point in the city. Located on the first floor, the apartment offers a bright and open space where the partitions have been reduced to a minimum to give the maximum feeling of spaciousness. The living room has two large windows, from floor to ceiling as balcony doors, which overlook a park and fill the whole house with abundant natural light. On the other side of the living room is the modern, fully equipped kitchen. The style of the apartment is sober and elegant, with predominance of light tones with the counterpoint of some color note perfectly studied, decorative paper on some walls and mirrors to increase the feeling of space. The two bedrooms are cozy and have been decorated in the same style as the rest of the house, while the two bathrooms are modern and comfortable. With an excellent location and an interior full of style, this apartment is the perfect option for those who want to stay in one of the best areas of downtown Madrid. Surface: 105m2\. First floor. The entrance leads to a living-dining room with a diaphanous configuration. The living room has two large windows and is furnished with a 3-seater sofa, an armchair, a coffee table, 2 side tables, a floor lamp, a bookcase and a TV. The dining area separates the living room from the kitchen and has a wooden table for up to 4 people. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, freezer, 4-ring ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave oven. There are two bedrooms. The first is furnished with two single beds (0.90mx 2.00m), a bedside table with a lamp, a wardrobe, and has a bathroom with shower. The master bedroom has a double bed (2.00mx 1.60m), two bedside tables with lamps, a built-in wardrobe and a bathroom with two sinks and a shower. The shower is independent of the bathroom. Metro stop less than 15 min walk. Apartment itself was modern and clean, although no door on master bathroom so no privacy unless you closed the bedroom door, a bit odd, but maybe European. Second bath, you slid the closet door over to close off the bath, but lo and behold the back of the closet wall is glass, so you then have a view of the person using the toilet and shower. Again, maybe European, but a bit too much for our New England sensibility. Other than that a great place to stay. Be aware, if you use their transfer service to the airport it is 125% more expensive than a taxi (33 eruo taxi, 65 euro transfer service) cash only. ##### joseph k. Séjour de 5 nuits en septembre 2017 ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Vallipuram N. 16 juill. 2016 #### Nice location but didn't work for us Property is in a nice location, spacious, well decorated, and very clean. Web page for booking and arranging transfers were convenient. However wi-fi wasn't great (slow and would disconnect often) and the AC did not work one day and with the high temperatures and it wasn't a pleasant experience. The worst part was unfortunately the customer service, they overpromised and under delivered. A few days before our departure we received an email form VRBO indicating that there were some security concerns with our booking. I forwarded the email and did not get a reply. On top of it , eventhough we had informed two weeks prior, our arrival time at the train station (3:10 PM) and booked the transfer through them and promptly notified them upon arrival at the train station they did not meet us on time at the property. After their taxi dropped us off near the property around 3:30 PM, we had to wait for an hour and 15 minutes on the street. When we called customer service they would say in 10 mins someone would meet us and they didn't show up for another 45 mins and eventually when they showed up there wasn't even an acknowledgement of being late. The initial experience was therefore very negative. We also had to make multiple calls regarding the AC, again they would say we will call you back in 2 mins and wouldn't call back for 30 mins. Finally when they arranged for a technician and told us he will be there within 1 hour he didn't show up for 2 hours. TAfter the technician came the AC worked temporarily and then stopped working again. Informed management and even provided feed back on spain select web page and no real action. ##### Vallipuram N.
