Place was nice on the outside, lobby and dining. The rooms we got wax the deluxe which included dinner and breakfast. At dinner we choose one entree and appetizer and dessert. Food was amazing. Drinks were extra. I guess they don't heat the water at night and trying to take a shower it was super cold. Lots of messages in the rooms for happy hour. No place in shower to put soap bar or anything. Room came with an old school heater. The food made it worth the price but not everything else. Windows dont block sound but found that to be the case anywhere in peru. The location is amazing and on the main street. You dont have to go up any stairs or streets to get to hotel. We stayed at another hotel as well to check things out and we had to go up some
Steep stairs.

Liked: Cleanliness
Initially thought breakfast and dinner included was a plus. However, no one mentioned that dinner has to be reserved and was forced to have dinner at 9pm. Though an alternative was offered for next day lunch it was definitely an inconvenience. Other than that it was an okay stay, convenient location but its a small town
Perfect location, nice rooms, sauna/spa was helpful after a lot of hiking
Two real complaints
First, the room doors were super thin, so we could hear everything going on on our floor and in the town, basically all night long
Second, the food on-site wasn't quite what we were hoping for, could have used higher quality burgers and wings (both of which were hyper processed, not fresh at all)
Minor point - we agreed to pay extra to check-out late (fine, that's not exactly unfair)
But when the property ran out of hot water that morning, and the whole point of late checkout was kind of lost (so we could shower after visiting Machu Picchu), they stuck to their guns and charged us extra. Would have been a good time to refund the extra charge.
Hotel location is very convenient, 3 min walk to Machu Picchu bus station, 5 min walk to railway station, staff is very nice, dinner food is good, room is clean, however the step down into the shower may have trip concern. Wifi doesn’t work very well at room. Overall we enjoyed the stay in this hotel.
The primary upside of the property is its central location and 1 minute walk to the bus lines for the trip up to Machu Picchu. Check-in is at 1pm - exactly! They do have a lobby for you to wait in or will take your luggage if you want to go out and explore but a bit of leeway would be appreciated as you’re then left waiting after 1pm while they sort out everyone who is waiting.
We had room 357 (Deluxe Room) which was the highest up and right at the back, which I think helped it be quieter than many other reviews suggest, otherwise I can see why it could be quite noisy given where it is in town and it having its own bar.
The primary issue with the amenities is that hot water is only turned on around 4am, which is a bit bothersome if you’re preparing to queue to get the early bus for the 6am entry to Machu Picchu; but ultimately we just went to queue at 5am and we were still on one of the first few buses.
We didn’t have breakfast, which starts at 4am which would otherwise be pretty handy. Dinner was really great, they had vegan options for us both and they were delicious. As with most places in Peru the portion sizes are large. You can only pick two seating times though - 6pm or 9pm. We sat at 6pm and it was great to then get up early for the next day. We happened to come back for lunch the following day and had the vegan bruschetta (even though the menu said it was vegan make sure you tell them that otherwise they add butter!)
This place is gorgeous serenity in the midst of what can be a wild town. My 5th floor room with floor to ceiling windows and views of the Andes was everything I’d hoped for! Feel like an ecolodge, right over the river from the train station and walking distance to everything.
Very nice hotel in convenient location. The property is a bit oddly configured but the staff is first rate.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
The hotel was good for one night to visit Machu Picchu. It is never a 4 star hotel. The reception and the rooms are very tired, the food is not great. My room was very small, the beds creaked, the bathroom was tiny, the shower was not great. However, the location is very convenient and the staff are very helpful.
Perfectly located within easy walking distance from the train station and the bus to Machu Picchu. Friendly service, good breakfast and dinner and clean rooms. Comfortable beds as well. Glad we stayed here and we recommend it.
Very nice accommodation at the heart of Machu Picchu Pueblo. Loved having access to the restaurant, bar and breakfast and our room was very comfortable and clean.
We had a lovely room with comfy beds and a great shower after our Inca Trail hike. The included dinner was good and the spa services were excellent. The staff was also very helpful holding our bags and delivering them to our room.. We also enjoyed walking around the area around the hotel and the market and it was only a block to walk to the train station.
