Great place to stay!

We were upgraded to Kaani Palm - given renovations of Village & Spa. Very friendly staff, high service levels and great dining opportunities. Would recommend this hotel (and swimmingpool - infinity) to everybody.

We had a fantastic stay at Kaani Palm Beach. Rooms are spacious, a/c works really well, good sized bathroom and a really comfortable large bed. The infinity pool on the roof is a great bonus with fantastic views, although it can get very warm in the afternoons. The Kaani sunbeds on part of bikini beach are free, and have an umbrella. The main attribute for the hotel however, is the staff. We met so many lovely members of staff, that I can't remember them all, but I would like to mention Azmeem, one of the managers who helped us when we had a problem with the room. In the restaurant, Anisur, Try, Farouk, MD Alom and Omelette man Rana (apologies for any spelling mistakes) were all absolute stars, I would like to mention more, but my memory lets me down. Would definitely love to come back to this hotel 💯

No contact with the hotel, very long response to e-mails (several days) despite paying the airport transfer fee, I had to look for a connection on my own. The photos in the offer do not reflect the actual condition of the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are provided in another facility approximately 300m away. The meals are the same every day. There is no clothes dryer in the room, high humidity makes it impossible to dry wet swimsuits.

Disappointed with Reception Staff

Hotel does not serve breakfast as advertised you have to go to Kaani Palm hotel which is a short walk away but there is a lot of building work going on outside the hotel and some renovation inside. Our room was cleaned every day to a high standard. The staff in the Palm restaurant were very friendly. My big complaint was the organisation at reception for boat trips and transfers. For some of the trips the boats were overcrowded and led to long delays leaving 90mins + late. The worst was the boat transfer back to the airport. We had booked and paid for our return trip and confirmed departure time only to be told 5mins before scheduled departure that the boat would not leave for another 2 hours. What made it worse was the receptionist then said that he had not told me the departure time which was the worst thing. Soon after my request to speak to the manager about the matter another boat was found for us !!!. It was very unprofessional the way it was dealt with.

I was upgraded to Kaani Pal Beach. The hotel is good, well located and with very good client service. The positive things: - The location - The price-quality relationship - The view from the pool - The waiters' service in restaurant - The positive attitude of cleaning people - The very professional service for tourist packages The negative issues: - Just one elevator shared with service people and clients. - Exchange rate for payments in Rufiyaas is 17 instead of bank rate of 15.4 - There are a lot of flys in the restaurant - There is not a game room or outdoor court to play something

We verbleven nachten in dit hotel. Kamers zijn niet erg groot. Mensen aan de balie zijn niet erg vriendelijk. Dagelijks schone handdoeken en schone kamer. Ik kreeg hier niet het gevoel erg welkom te zijn. De jongen vh restaurant is erg vriendelijk.

Friendly, helpful staff!

The staff stand out to make this hotel exceptional. We were picked up from the ferry pier and they brought our luggage to the hotel for us. Upon arrival we were greeted with cold towels and juice. We got into our room immediatly, everything was clean, the pool is nice and cool. There is a wide variety of excursions they offer, we weren't able to go due to time constraints, but the information is clearly displayed at reception. There is also a pool table! When we were leaving, staff took our luggage back to the ferry pier and waited with us until we got on the correct boat with our stuff. It is a quick walk to the hotel from the pier and close to the bikini beach. This is a great choice for your stay on Maafushu!

We (family with 2 children) spent 8 days at Kaani Village. Our staying was great thanks to wonderful and friendly staff. Compliments to staff especially to the Shauza, Shaha, Kefu, Monir, Suhey and Husein (appologies if we forgot anyone and for potentially wrong pronunciation:). Our children loved the pool and the snooker. The hotel has a perfect location.

The rooms are what you can expect for this cheap price. A normal room. The services given at the hotel are very poor. Breakfast buffet is very poor. Almost no choice for breakfast. Towels; they only give you towels once a day to use at the pool or the beach. One day we asked for towels and they did not have because the cleaning did not finish. We requested a transfer boat and we were waiting one hour from our arranged time.

God værdi for pengene

Fint hotel med lækker pool. Generelt højt serviceniveau og sødt personale, men desværre ikke så gode til at modtage kritikpunkter, hvilket er ærgerligt. Vores ophold var inkl morgenmad. Her oplevede vi særlig god service fra personalet. Dog er selve morgenbuffeten tildels lokalt inspireret. Men der er ristet brød, smør, omelet på bestilling og kaffe hver morgen. Deres WiFi-system er irriterende, hvor man skal forny sin kode hver 4-5. dag. Værelserne er generelt fine og bliver rengjort hver dag. Dog er der hurtigt en em af fugt, hvis ikke aircon kører hele tiden. Muligvis også fordi der ligger (gamle) gulvtæpper på værelserne. Man kan bestille gode ture gennem hotellet. Alle ture på øen koster det samme. Spa'en er lukket, men de henviser til et af Kaanis andre hoteller på øen. Et Value-For-Money hotel.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

On the first day we tried to pay for the room, but they told us that their macine don't work and we need to try the next day (we tried with creditcard 3 different times). The next day we noticed that there was 3 takes from the card; 400€, 950€ and 750€. The only place we had used the card was in this hotel. Last use was 1,5 months ago. My bank told me that the money had gone to some international gamblingsite. But the true horror started when we tried to ask the hotel if they knew what happened (maybe their macine was hacked or something)! We waited for the manager for two afternoons for 3-4 hours and every 30min we were told that he is coming. He never came! What a great way to spend a holiday!!!! On the third evening he finally came and he was the rudest and most unprofessional "manager" we have ever met! He directly started to yell at us that they have nothing to do with the money. They have checked their bank and securityvideos and nothing is wrong. We never saw any evedence about that even we tried to ask and they promised earlier. SO, AFTER ALL IT MIGHT BE THAT THE HOTEL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH US LOOSING 2000€, BUT I PERSONALLY DON'T BELIEVE IN SUCH A COINCIDENCE!!! And still, the worst part of everything was the way they took care of the case!!! It was pathetic and totally unprofessional!!!!! The hotel itself is average. Downstairs rooms are dark and smelly caves, upstairs rooms are ok (we got to change on our third day). Breakfast is sad with canned fruits!

Sju dagar utan strumpor

Vi bodde i familjerum och fick först ett tråkigt sådant på bottenplan. Med hjälp av mycket tillmötesgående personal fick vi byta till en våning upp, vilket innebar balkong. Personalen var mycket bra och trevliga oavsett om det rörde sig om bokning av utflykter eller annat. Frukosten var bra. Vi gjorde en snorklingsutflykt med Kaani och en med Salt. Båda var mycket bra, med flera snorklingsstopp och enkel lunch. Hotellet ligger 200 meter från Bikini Beach, där det är bra strand, bad och lite snorkling. Boende på Kaanihotellen har gratis solstolar. Maafushi kan rekommenderas. Många mindre restauranger med god och billig mat. Transport från och till flygplatsen fixas enkelt med hjälp av hotellen. Ta också gärna någon övernattning i Malé, inga bad men härligt folkliv.

Las propuestas de excursiones, la limpieza, la mayoria del personal es muy atento y simpático. Servicio de toallas etc. Limpieza muy bien. Lo que menos, a ver el alojamiento está viejo, le falta mantenimiento, el desayuno es muy poco variado, y es un alojamiento sencillo.
