Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Peaceful cabin with over 1,400 sqft of living space. It has a large private lot giving you privacy but still close enough to the wonderful quaint town of Luray (only 12 minutes away). You can enjoy a quiet bath in the jacuzzi tub upstairs or relax in the 50 jet 6 person hot tub under the gazebo out doors. For the cool evenings, enjoy the gas fireplace inside or build your own firepit under the stars. The cabin is located in the valley where wifi can be spotty. The location is truly beautiful, with peaceful surroundings, gorgeous views, and excellent access to the river. It’s a great spot for relaxing and enjoying nature.The home itself was very clean, which we appreciated. However, it was not as well-maintained as we expected. The hot tub was far too hot, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. We also encountered a number of wasps on the deck, which made spending time outside a bit uncomfortable.With some attention to maintenance, this property has a lot of potential. We enjoyed our stay at “Shuck.” Everything was as advertised. River was perfect for wading, floating, and fishing. Kitchen was fairly well stocked. Our biggest disappointment was the hot tub. It had an extremely high level of chemicals in that we were unable to use it due to the strong fumes. We even tried removing the cover for an hour or so before we were going to get in but that didn’t help, either.
