Located in a quiet rural area is a secluded cottage for the privacy you are searching for. With a big yard and nature paths you will find nature at its best. Cow pastures are all around, and the beautiful white tail deer can be seen wondering around if you’re lucky enough to catch a glance. Your canine friends are more than welcomed with a kennel setup so when you’re relaxing they can be relaxing outdoors safely. If you schedule a vacation in winter or early spring the creek located on the property will probably be flowing from the runoff of the mountain snows. And when frozen it is beautiful for photographers. Or in summer when it will likely be dry it is great for rock collecting. Nestled in between to mountains, the beautiful Blue Ridge to the east and the awesome Massanutten to the west. The Blue Ridge is home to the scenic Skyline Drive and the Massanutten is home to the George Washington National Forest both with many trails to explore. A river runs through the valley the much appreciated Shenandoah. Only 6 miles away plenty of fun can be found on the river: canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing accessible by many public boat landings. Located on Rt 658 bicyclist will find 7 miles of a country road to ride and enjoy. For a longer ride Lake Arrowhead would be the perfect destination and is also open for boating and fishing. Only 4 miles from historic downtown Luray with its Antique Shops and Hawksbill Creek Greenway, the world famous Luray Caverns, Golf Course, Country Club, and Airport are close by, the Heritage Festival in October, and Page Valley Agricultural and Industrial Fair in August are within a 5 minute drive. For the wine connoisseur Wineries are all around the valley with a couple very close by. All of this 100 miles from DC and Richmond. A cozy getaway but close enough to have delivery from Dominos, Anthony’s, and Domenico’s. Millie's place is a modular home with 2 bedrooms set on a great property very secluded and close to Shenandoah National Park. There is a large yard with a firepit and a shaded stream running alongside the property. The only neighbors are farms so there is total privacy except for the occasional cow peering across. The charcoal grill on site could use an update but no other complaints. Our group had a great time making fires and stargazing at night while making quick drives to the Park during the day. Would highly recommend this place for a small group or family looking for some good outdoor time and access to the National Park. ##### Gary C. The staff managing the rental was very helpful since there was a major glitch in my reservation ( weird date changes and after clicking twice on dog as guest the app did not process correctly ) Staff were outstanding in helping me . The cabin was not as cleaned as we expected .. a lot of dead bugs inside but it’s the season … and most of the dishes was dirty in the cabinets ( Nobody’s fault ) we washed it … we spent our day fishing at lake arrowhead and enjoyed the fire outside even in the rain .
