We needed some peace and quiet--but after many hours in coffee shops and library study rooms, we also wanted to work somewhere where taking a break would really feel like a break. This was the absolute perfect location. It was amazing to take lunch breaks by the river and to reward ourselves for a long day of writing with time in the hot tub or by the fire pit. This would be a great place for a low key vacation too. Just a few suggestions for those who really want to get the most out of their time here: 1) bring binoculars! Tons of wildlife to watch and I had to use my regular eyes. Boo. 2) Bring bottled water to drink and for coffee. The water has a very strong mineral taste--normal for the area but takes some getting used to. 3) Bring slippers--the upper level is nice and toasty but the lower level with the tiled floors can get pretty cold.
