That being said, there were also things to visit and do in Luray like the Luray Caverns- a must see. The cottage was clean and well suited for our needs as we cooked dinner meals a few nights during our stay. Having the fire pit and outdoor area for the evening was a bonus. It was just as pictured, very clean, and had everything we needed. I think our favorite part of the whole trip was hanging out in the backyard on our last night - the big maple tree provided so much shade in the hot afternoon and the string lights were a nice touch while we made s'mores in the firepit at night. There's a great paved and divided pedestrian trail across the street that was perfect for taking the dog out for a walk in the morning and would be great for little ones too.
