Please note: this is an adults only, shared-space property. While suites are private, common areas like the entryway, parlor, and outdoor spaces are shared with other guests, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

A tribute to timeless love and legendary harmony, the Cash & Carter Suite exudes warmth, personality, and Southern charm. Located on the first floor, this suite blends rustic elegance with musical heritage, offering guests a cozy yet refined experience.



This suite is accessible from its own private external entrance, separate from the main house, giving you added privacy and easy access. Anchored by a stately king-size bed with a hand-carved wooden headboard, the suite features rich tones, vintage décor, and musical accents that nod to its namesakes. A pair of comfortable wingback chairs sit by the window—an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening conversation—while hardwood floors and warm lighting add to the romantic ambiance.



Guests are welcome to enjoy the property’s shared outdoor spaces, ideal for sipping coffee in the morning or unwinding after a day of exploring.



Large windows overlook the front of the property, offering glimpses of the Blue Ridge foothills and the inn’s manicured lawn. The Cash & Carter Suite also includes a spacious en-suite bathroom with a full-size tub and shower combo, perfect for soaking after a day in the mountains.



Whether you're here for a romantic weekend or simply want to stay in a room with soul, the Cash & Carter Suite invites you to slow down, tune in, and enjoy the rhythm of the Valley.

Bikes Available: Guests are welcome to use the Inn’s complimentary bicycles—perfect for exploring the charm of downtown Luray or taking a leisurely ride along the nearby Luray Greenway, a scenic walking and biking trail that runs along Hawksbill Creek. Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to grab one early and enjoy the ride!



Adults Only: The Legacy Inn is an adults-only escape designed for rest, romance, and relaxation. Whether you’re planning a peaceful getaway, a romantic weekend, or a special celebration, our 7-suite inn offers a quiet, sophisticated atmosphere tailored for grown-up comfort. With no children on-site, guests can fully unwind—whether that means sipping coffee on the porch swing, strolling to downtown Luray, or enjoying a serene evening under the stars.



Common Areas: The Inn features several welcoming common areas, including a cozy sitting room with a fireplace. As guests at the Inn, you’ll be sharing the property with other visitors who are also enjoying their stay. While each suite or room offers private accommodations, the grounds, outdoor spaces, and common areas may be used by multiple guests. We kindly ask everyone to be respectful of quiet hours, shared amenities, and each other’s privacy. This shared environment is part of what makes the Inn such a warm and welcoming place — a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy the peaceful setting together.

Please note: The Inn is heated and cooled using mini split systems, which are energy-efficient and help us maintain comfort without altering the structure of our historic building. The mini split in the shared guest space is set to 70°F for your comfort. If the area feels too warm or too cool, you're welcome to turn off the unit using the remote; however, we kindly ask that you return it to 70°F or turn it back on when you leave the space. Due to the limitations of a historic property, we also recommend bringing a personal fan for added comfort during the warmer months.
