If the switched unit was better, cannot imagine the original unit. We accepted the switch since it was late the night prior, we had multiple commitments, and had no other choice but to stay. The only positive points were the location, bathroom/showers and appliances. Instead of one large home we had two separate units on the second floor of a building in need of significant repair. Furniture was old and dirty, no dinning room table or a place for 5 to enjoy a meal, ( Host did bring a grill up to the unit but we had no eating area). Smaller unit had no stove, larger had no cutlery, front entry porch had a broken window, cracked cement and debris on stairway, actual porch was filthy. Back patio had old broken down wicker furniture with one having seat completely broken through. One bedroom lamp missing bulb & switch and closet with linens loose on the floor. Called VRBO. They had no information regarding a switch of property. Requested a refund, host did a lot of talking esp about his success. In the end said he would refund 20% of his earnings. Not sure what that included i.e. cleaning fee, extra linen cleaning fee for ordinary linens? Nothing received. His partner did reach out to offer discounts on a return stay. We declined. Bottom line, horrible experience. Will not use this group or host again. ##### Jack L. The location is very cool and the home is historic with quite a bit of character. One of the queen bedrooms is very small and does not have a closet. Landscape could us a clean up, but the house was perfect and in a great location to walk to shopping and restaurants. This home was perfect for our large family of 8, plus an additional two adults. The two couple's had their own rooms, and the kids had their own space as well, with a bed for everyone. Accomodations were surface clean and tidy, and having the washer and dryer came in handy! The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful, and I felt safe enough to walk with the kids to some of the local eateries. Filled with beautiful appliances, nice dishes, a large selection of bourbon and wine glasses and an over-the-top coffee station.
