The host was wonderful and welcoming, very communicative but respectful of our privacy. His place was amazing and peaceful, beautiful surroundings, 2 mnts drive to The Comedy Store. Plenty of fancy restaurants around Madeo, Katana, Toca Madera, Sunset Plaza. We also were able to explore the beautiful restaurants in the hotels around the neighborhood and their very trendy bars. In the mornings we enjoy going hiking to the Runyon Canyon. The location was more centric than expected closer to Hollywood, and other main tourist attractions. ##### johan w. The living room was great, the beds were comfy. The view from the balcony was AMAZING - my son and I sat out there for about 2 hours just chatting and admiring the view of downtown LA as well as the hollywood hills themselves. Location? GREAT! But what put it a step above was the host. Sam was so nice, super communicator, gave awesome recommendations on where to eat, replied to messages super quickly. We really enjoyed it. ##### Peter J. Great location with private parking. Very strong ACs in every room, which is always a top priority for me! Beautiful views. Very large beds w/ very comfortable mattresses, blankets and pillows. Lots of streaming options and channels on TVs. Reasonably priced for its size, location and quality. Owner provided lots of shampoo/conditioner choices. Only small complaint would be hot water in the sink in one of the bathrooms had a very thin stream. Gracious but unobtrusive host (lives upstairs) Wonderful beds. Decor and furnishings are a little dated but comfortable. One listing mentioned a first floor bedroom and a loft. Actually two large bedrooms with balconies, but both are at bottom of a long stair (parking and entry and living area on 2nd floor.) Might be tough on some renters if expecting bed on entrance level. two baths but only one on the floor with bedrooms. Not an en suite. Great collection of books if staying for an extended period. This home was a perfect landing spot for us. The pros: Super location, convenient to tons of restaurants, shopping, museums, Hollywood action. The view was fabulous overlooking the LA basin. Comfortable beds, very quiet neighborhood. Garage parking. The cons: No real kitchen if you actually want to cook. Not well equipped with amenities...Keurig machine but not a single starter pod for our first morning. No dish towels or paper towels. No soap in bathrooms or showers.
