The location not the safest. My 10 year old daughter and I stayed here so that we would be close to Hollywood Palladium to attend a concert there. As it turns out we were not within walking distance but a short drive. We walked out of and stood outside of the hotel for maybe 1 minute and were approached by a raging male crackhead whom decides to target me in front of my child- telling cursing at me calling me awful names. This was scary and completely out of nowhere. Lots of homeless people on drugs in this area. Firstly this is not a 5 Star Glamour Hotel. However it is a smaller independent hotel within reasonable walking distance of Hollywood/Vine Metro and the Hollywood Palladium - both of which were very important for my needs. It was accessible from LAX by public transport plus a 10 minutes walk and on a busy Thursday evening I was at my hotel nearly 2 hours before my friends who had a chauffer driven limo arranged. All of the staff that I dealt with were excellent, responsive and very willing to help where necessary. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower worked well. I have stayed in far more pretentious upmarket hotels over the years that just did come up to the customer service culture or downright friendliness of this place. The view from the room wasn't great but I came to sleep, not look out the window. My biggest recommendation would be that if I came back I would certainly look at this place first and I would probably also try to treat myself to one of the full kitchenette apartment rooms instead of the perfectly serviceable standard rooms that I had this time.
