INFO ABOUT PETS: Dogs only, must be pre-approved before booking (please provide age, size, breed, etc.) to make sure they're a good fit for our place. There is a $200 pet fee per dog per reservation (applies weekly for bookings of 7 days or longer). Please note no dogs on furniture and dogs cannot be left alone in the house at any time. We have hardwood floors and ask you ensure your dogs have trimmed nails before they arrive that will not scratch them. We have a charcoal BBQ and wood fire pit you are welcome to use--please note we do not provide charcoal or firewood. The indoor fireplace is decorative only and non-functional. This is an older house, and while there have been many upgrades and updates, there are a couple areas that show their age--some windows no longer open/open well, some parts of the exterior have worn paint. ◦ Quiet hours 10pm-8am (no loud music or activities to disturb neighbors) ◦ No smoking of any kind inside the house--minimum fee of $500 applied to replace linens and rent air scrubber ◦ Number of guests on the property at any time must match reservation ◦ No commercial use, filming, photography, or any non-standard use of property without prior, written authorization (extra fees apply starting at 3x the nightly rate) ◦ When available, early check in or late checkout is $50 (must be pre-approved) ◦ Please note: kids are welcome, but property is not kid-proofed or baby-proofed ◦ Lost key fee minimum $100 ◦ Pet fee: $200/dog per stay (if longer than one week, fee is charged weekly), 2 dogs max Please note there is no luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. The check-in was easy and, at least for us, there was no need to communicate with the owner because everything went smoothly and all appliances, etc. were in really good shape. To me, the house and neighborhood have happy vibes— on a quiet, lovely street but near the great restaurants and cafes of Hillhurst and, a little further on, North Vermont. Staying in this house enhanced our visit to LA. And it certainly helped that this house is dog-friendly and with a fairly large back yard, as we had our two furry friends with us as well. ##### Jonathan S. I offered several other alternative dates but his initial response was the last I received. I spoke several times to VRBO Customer Service and they tried as well to contact the host by both phone and email—all unsuccessfully. So I lost my initial deposit and did not stay at the house. An earlier reviewer commented that the owner was unresponsive. I would say that is an understatement. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! ##### Roger W. A very comfortable home with a dog-friendly back yard complete with a fire pit. The only (minor) issue was the lack of response to a couple of simple questions in messages to the host. In the end, not a big problem, but as experienced travelers we have always had questions to hosts answered in a timely fashion and we never got any response here.
