We had a good stay overall, but...The check-in process was horrendous. Codes provided didn't work. Lockboxes couldn't be opened. Instructions to gain entry to house and what to do upon leaving must be updated. This includes Wi-Fi, where a working password wasn't provided. All this required a couple of hours to resolve with multiple text messages and phone calls to resolve. For the price that was paid, I think it's not unreasonable to expect much better service.The house could have been cleaned more thoroughly. I don't believe we're overly fussy but we found old flipflops and a pair of children's sweats, under the living room sofas. Between the cracks, really dusty. The bedrooms were clean however. A toilet was completely broken. No ability to flush because the flush mechanism had been removed. In same room, the lights would randomly stop working. The upstairs door (second floor) wasn't able to be locked which, even though on second floor, we had one family member (my sister) with her young child and she didn't feel all that safe while she was sleeping upstairs with a patio door to the outside that doesn't lock. Finally, the pool and hot tub worked on one instance the entire stay we were there. This occurred when the pool cleaner came by and explained he could get it working. Successful for about 3 hours then it turned off and we never had a working hot tub after that. Overall a nice property but at this price, our other friends found better. ##### Christiaan F. And the host was available if I ever needed anything! My only note was the check in process was really challenging. The code for the lockbox was wrong so I had to call and get the correct one. Once in the lock box, the key that had been put inside did not work. We were only able to get in the house because the sliding glass door around the back wasn't locked. They didn’t have the full entrance details for us. The code wasn’t correctly explained and issues with main door lock. The house was not clean on arrival. A cleaner was sent next day but only stayed for one hour … so we ended up hiring our own cleaners to come and do deep cleans every week as the house needed it. ##### Mary B.
