Très proche du parc Universal c'est son point fort, un parking pour 30€/nuit (il y en a un public et gratuit juste en face) nous avons eu un bon accueil et l'ambiance à l'arrivée faisait bonne impression mais la chambre en elle même était pas très propre avec des toiles d'araignées, on a eu froid car la porte d'entrée est mal coupée et laisser passer de l'air, heureusement ils avaient une couverture a nous donner pour la 2eme nuit

La chambre est grande et très fonctionnelle. Le service a la réception ne répond pas aux attentes. La documentation n’est pas à jour. Aucun tour n’est offert. À l’exception de Universal studio, aucun service de réservation n’est disponible. Spa et piscine non disponible pour raison de sécurité!

Nous sommes arrivés dans l’hôtel et nous avons une chambre. Arrivée dans la chambre celle-ci n’était pas propre, la douche a été utilisé le lit a été utilisé également. Nous sommes descendus à la réception et nous avons même pas eu d’excuse. Au niveau du Spa c’est une grande blague il est au fond du parking. Du coup cela ne donne pas envie. Hotel sent me a message advising of a $21 per night surcharge AFTER I’d booked. Then, in a separate message, the hotel advised me renovations were taking place & apologized for the rooms not matching the pictures on their site. There’s renovation-dirty and there’s neglectful-dirty. My room was an example of housekeeping not being done. From dirt in the corners, walls blackened by years of scuffing to the window screen laying on the ground outside, and the fire sprinkler peering out of a roughly cut hole in the ceiling, this was not a clean room. Factoring in the oh-by-the-way surcharge left me with a less than pleasant memory.

Gym hours were not honored. Coffee maker broken. No ice bucket bag. Window screen broken so couldn’t leave window open due to bugs. Front desk unknowledgeable. Parking garage inconvenient because they allow cars to block other cars and require you leave keys with them to move if other cars need to get out. No sink stopper. Very bad neighborhood. Homeless encampment across street.

The only convenient thing about this hotel was that it was right down the street from Universal Studios. There are a lot of good places to eat around here which does meet that convenient. However, the bed was horrible & he room was dirty.

I didn't care for the bad plumbing that causes the toilet to clog and had to semi fix the toilet ourselves to stop the water from running continuously after the toilet was said fixed but everything else was good. Comfortable beds and nice front desk help

The staff were all lovely but the property really needs some desperate TLC. The bathrooms are not very nice, the pillows feel about 15 years old and literally filled with the most uncomfortable effectively balls of foam. The bonus of this hotel is definitely its location if you want to Visit Universal as this is literally a few minutes walk as is the Metro into central LA. If the rooms are refurbed this would be a little treasure

Kind of mid tier for the price we paid. Room size was nice, but the lighting and corresponding switches were very, weird. Bathroom light wouldn’t stop flickering. Shower was very nice and the water pressure and temperature were incredible! It’s a reasonable walking distance from universal, which was also appreciated, and Uber rides were reasonably cheap to both universal/city walk & downtown LA/Hollywood. We received an email saying they started renovating months ago, and it seems like an obvious slow progress thing.

We came to LA for my son’s birthday and to go to Universal Studios. The photos online are deceiving. The pool was broken, the plumbing is wrong. The faucet temperature gets way too hot and is not up to code. There needs to be a thermostatic mixing valve that limits how hot the vanity faucets can get. The shower controls are all messed up too. The one control should be to control the water coming out of the rain fall shower head, the other valve is a diverter valve that SHOULD change it from the waterfall shower to the handheld. It did neither and the two just dribbled out. The only thing this place has going for it is the relative closeness to Universal, which is a sketchy ass walk anyways. Do yourself a favor spend a little more and stay somewhere else. I know I wish that I had, birthday trips blunder.

Great location but bring ear plugs. My husband and I’s room had an old door that connects it to the room next to us and, unfortunately, this door was paper thin. We could hear our neighbors loud and clear, they woke us up in the middle of the night or early morning every night we were there. Even if our neighbors were more considerate you can still hear everything. It’s a great location and nice hotel but you won’t sleep well if you end up in a room like we did. Don’t be foolish and hope it will not be as bad the next night as we did, ask for a new room right away.

Hotel charged us for parking and a $100 dollars deposit for each room (I had 2 rooms). Deposit required is not advertised by hotel or Expedia. They told us that deposits will be returned within 24 to 72 hours after the check out and it’s been 10 business days since we left the hotel and still waiting for the $200 dollars deposit

Many extra fees that you get hit with. On top of all the taxes, they charge a service fee of $21 (which they do not include in the price) and a $35 parking fee. They quoted my room would cost $160 and charged me $260 at checkout due to all the excess fees. Otherwise, it is a nice small hotel with no amenities.

Arguably the best part of this hotel was its close proximity to the Universal shuttle stop and an amazing tacos place (walk fast - sketchy area). Otherwise, we had a terrible experience at check-in. We came in the morning after our flight and were told to come back at noon (completely fine as we didn’t expect to check in that early). We returned at 1:15 and were told it would be another hour, so we went out again. This time, when we returned after 9pm, we were told there had been an overbooking error and they did not actually have the king size room we had booked months ago available. After about 10 minutes of waiting, they said they could “upgrade” us to a larger room. What they actually meant was an ADA accessible room, which meant no shower divider so water soaked most of the floor despite pointing the shower heads as close to the wall as possible, and floors so filthy that my husband’s feet were covered in dirt and grime within minutes of walking. Speaking of dirty, the walls were pretty distressed and there was an extremely questionable brown liquid stain on the shutters. We were told if it was not to our liking, we could change rooms to the type we actually booked the next day, which meant we had to pack everything up, have them store our luggage, and then essentially re-check-in after a long theme park day. Sadly, the room we booked was not much better with a hole in the ceiling, a shower that pooled water due to a slow drain, and a weird in-unit fan. Book elsewhere!

Decent room for the price! Super close to Universal Studios but we didn't walk. The shower handle (turning it off and on) was a little tricky and the lighting in the room could've been brighter/warmer but the room was good enough and what you'd expect for the price!

Staff extremely friendly and helpful, room very clean and everything in good condition. A downside is that the doors and walls are rather thin, so we could hear every word of a conversation being held in the next room or the hallway. But luckily the other guests were mostly pretty quiet during our stay. It's only a couple minutes walk to the shuttle that goes to Universal as well as the bus to the Burbank Airport, and a slightly longer walk to In-and-Out if your Californian friends insist you try it while you're in the state, haha. If and when I visit Universal in the future, I'll definitely stay here again.
