The beds were comfortable with extra pillows and blankets. The home was equipped with almost everything we needed. There were weddings daily with live music which I enjoyed from the balcony. The key fob-required system for accessing the building helped ensure the safety of the property. The surrounding area is typical Downtown LA, but the building itself is more safe and quiet. The location was great, with access to attractions like The Broad and Grand Central Market just blocks away. The building is also close to the Metro, so other sights can be reached via the easy to use Metro system as well. I give this place 3 stars for the rooftop outdoor view of the buildings, and cleanliness of the apartment bedrooms and bathrooms at check in. Parking is convenient, but an additional 30/night. The apartment was run down, furniture was broken, and the place smelled of smoke at check in. We were checked in by the host’s assistant’s assistant, who provided me a number to call with any questions. I texted host with questions at the number at check in, and never got a response. I brought up broken barstools issue on this site with host, and the issue was not solved. Then, I was asked to leave a 5 start review in exchange for a 40 credit! I do not want a bribe, I want transparency and communication from both the host and Vrbo. I want to read honest reviews.
