Sleeping arrangements: Master suite is upstairs and features a king sized bed, custom rock shower, double sinks, granite and a large walk in closet. The other two upstairs bedrooms feature generous bunk bed configurations, with double beds on the bottom and twins on the top. Downstairs in the great room, there’s a queen fold out sofa bed and two click-clacks (basically just a fancy name for futon). VRBO considers this area a 4th bedroom, but we we want you to know that there’s no privacy to the open den area on the main floor. Please note this is truly a 3 bedroom. The cabin is most comfortable for 8 guests. Linens: Your beds will bed freshly made just prior to your arrival, including two pillows for each guest. Freshly laundered bath towels, hand towels, face towels and kitchen towels will also be provided. Kitchen: The fully-stocked gourmet kitchen features natural finish cabinetry and granite counters. Included are pots, pans, toaster, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, blender and instant-pot, cooking utensils and some seasonings. We will leave you a dozen of our favorite K-cups, but feel free to bring your own stash of coffee and seasonings as well! Dining: There are two indoor dining spaces. One is the large dining table that can be extended to fit 8 people. and the other is the kitchen counter with barstools. Family room: Large sectional sofa, 2 click clacks, coffee table and flat panel smart TV that overlooks the lake. There’s also a natural wood burning fireplace. If you want to use it, you should bring firewood with you, which you can usually pick up in Deer Park on the way to the cabin. BBQ: The BBQ is a Traeger Pellet Grill which has 6-in-1 ability to grill, smoke, bake, roast, braise, and bbq. We’ll leave you a fully stocked hopper as well as an extra container of pellets, just in case you like to BBQ as often as we do and in case you’re not familiar with these awesome grills The Deck: Enjoy your morning coffee and relax on the deck while enjoying panoramic views of Deer Lake. There’s a propane fire table (fire pit) on the deck and we’ll make sure that you have a full tank of propane waiting for you. The Dock: The private oversized wood dock is a great place to spend the day relaxing, jumping and swimming. The dock is configured with two separate boat slips and we will always make sure that there’s a slip available for you. There's also two gazebos, one with an additional fire pit and seating underneath it. Watercraft: If you want to bring motorized watercraft, message us prior to booking so we can talk about the size of your boat, number of skis, moorage, and trailer parking. Guests are expected to adhere to boating safety laws and lake etiquette, including observing the no-wake zone. Extra fees will apply. If you’re bringing watercraft, message us BEFORE YOU BOOK for approval. Dogs: If you want to bring your dog(s) with you, message us prior to booking with the size of your dog(s) and their level of training. Guest are expected to keep their dog(s) on a leash when outside the property lines and to pick up after them. No more than 2 dogs are permitted and extra fees will apply. If you’re bringing pets, message us BEFORE YOU BOOK for approval. Parking: Parking is tight at Deer Lake and this property is no exception. Two spaces are included. JUST TWO. There’s no overflow parking, no remote partaking lot, no asking the neighbors for favors. If you arrive with extra vehicles, you’ll be “up a creek”, as they say. The garage is not for guests, ONLY the two spots in front of the cabin are reserved for guests. Smoking: This is a NON-SMOKING rental, this includes both inside and outside Quiet Time: Outside quiet time starts @ 10 pm. If you want to enjoy the dock late at night, just be considerate of our neighbors. Extra visitors: Entertaining people outside of your reserved guest count is not permitted. The unit was nice but the photos portrayed the family room much larger than it is.The bedrooms were up another set of stairs and again never portrayed in the photos. upon arrival, the patio door was wide open, so weren't sure if someone or a critter was in the property.Our party left and went to a hotel, concerned about getting the luggage up all the stairs.Contacted the owner with the concerns and let them know we wouldn't be staying there, asking for a partial or full refund which was denied.We knew it was a no cancelation policy but figured given the circumstances they might consider.The property required 50% down when booked, but they took 100% from the get go, should have been a sign! Property owners were not all that responsive compared to our multiple other Vrbo owners we have dealt with over the years. If anyone leaves Frankly My Deer bored, unrested and hungry is their own damn fault! This gorgeous house is very welcoming and the hosts, Billie and Kevin, are very accommodating and friendly. My family had such a beautiful time and couldn't thank my husband and I enough for this time together. I only have two suggestions: The shallow area of lake is very rocky and no good way to get on the dock from the water. These both are not conducive for the elderly and/or those with disabilities. The house was perfectly stocked for a plug and play stay. We loved the slow pace of the single lane lake life and felt safe during our stay. Our favourite memories were on the the dock, the kids … well, all of us loved jumping of the end in the beautiful clean lake. Sunsets and bubbles were cool too. The out door sitting areas and views are amazing. The location was terrific for day trips to Chewelah and Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge (a must see). Access to the lake is great...lots of fishing off the dock, although not so much catching. The master bedroom and bath are lovely; the other bedrooms are small - probably best for children. Property is easy to find thanks to the detailed directions provided by the owners. Check-in process was a breeze and was immediately impressed with the view from the living room and the master’s. Kitchen was nicely stocked with the necessities to cook up any meal and having a Traeger grill available was an added bonus - it allowed us to enjoy delicious steaks, burgers, and chops for dinner. Had a blast playing card games, board games and shuffle board with the family. WiFi signal did not disappoint for the sports/movie buff in the family. Overall, our stay was relaxing and invigorating.
