"Whole experience from the booking onwards was brilliant, the host is approachable and helpful. Please was lovely! Close to everything! Pet friendly which was wonderful to travel with the whole family! Such a wonderful thing to have goats that accommodate pets. Highly recommend! Loved the place."

"The property was good except the gardens were of poor condition the screen slide door fly screen to back patio was all ripped so no use having glass do opened to enjoy fresh air thru it most of the house was pretty good"

"Whilst we enjoyed our stay and for the most part we very comfortable in the room, had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. However the room is in need of a refurbishment, especially the bathroom and it needs a good deep clean to remove dust. The advertised picture is out of date. "

BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort

10/10 Excellent

"A perfect stop over for our small family in between adventure and flight home from Proserpine. Comfy cabins, in-resort entertainment, pool (albeit freezing), quiet despite being close to the busy stretch of road, and friendly staff. The communal outdoor cooking areas were the best and it was so wonderful to see a small community of travelers develop within the resort, respect the space and clean up for one another. Would certainly stay again. "

Palm Bay Resort

"Palm Bay is a secluded resort nestled in Long Island,,,in fact it’s the only resort that is habitable. There is an abandoned resort property on the island as well. Palm Bay cottages are lovely and very roomy. Beds are comfortable. The restaurant is good…it’s the only place to eat on the island. We didn’t appreciate that it wasn’t feasible to take a water taxi anywhere else (say Airlie Beach) to dine because the last water taxi coming back to the resort is around 4:45 pm from Shute Harbour, and the cost for a return fare on the water taxi is about $115 per person—-very pricey. Staff is friendly, kind and courteous. You’ll run into locals such as wallabies, curlews and cockatiels as you hike on a couple of the trails. The trails are rather rough and rocky—bring a walking stick and good walking shoes."
