We weren’t planning to leave a review, as the apartment didn’t meet our expectations—but after receiving three messages from the owner in five days requesting a five-star rating, we felt compelled to share our honest experience.The apartment is in a nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. It’s about a 45-minute tube ride to the Tower of London. The owner was responsive when issues arose and offered to reimburse us for out-of-pocket costs.That said, the apartment was disappointing. There were cobwebs on lights and bookshelves, and the space didn’t feel clean. The dryer was full of water, and supplies were lacking—just one roll of toilet paper, which ran out the first night. No instructions were provided, and it took research to figure out how to use appliances.A wild fox appeared both mornings in the tiny 16' x 8' fenced backyard. This was concerning, as the apartment lacked A/C and the owner advised us to cool it by opening the doors to that space.The unit was also in poor condition: damaged walls, broken blinds, inaccurate bed descriptions, and no real sofa bed—just a couch, which made for three uncomfortable nights for our daughter.In short, while the location and host responsiveness were appreciated, the apartment fell short in cleanliness, accuracy, and basic hospitality. We do not recommend this rental in its current state. ##### Rich B. Check in was clear and easy, Nicole responded to any questions promptly and answered everything. She suggested some local places to eat on our first nigh and we had a lovely dinner at Alice House. The flat is in a great location away from all the business of London but close to the tube, so we could easily get wherever we wanted. The living room has a great couch big enough for our family to all lay on and watch movies together. The flat even came with a surprise trampoline, which our kids loved! The flat is spacious and well equipped. And quiet. We felt safe in the neighborhood. Communication with the host was prompt. The internet is super fast and reliable. There is a big television with streaming apps that we didn’t use.We took the Underground daily - the Bakerloo line took us where we wanted to go. The station is under a ten minute walk from the flat. There is an excellent M & S store filled with prepared foods close to the station. There are also a number of restaurants and other stores. Beware of Gail’s Bakery’s seriously dangerous breads and pastries. I would highly recommend the Urban Oasis for your London stay. ##### Gail J. Sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit, flexibel und mit tollen Tipps.Das Apartment war klasse. Eine schöne Zimmeraufteilung und auch den Aussenbereich haben wir gut nutzen können. Die Lage ist gleichfalls top. Viele Restaurants, Cafés und Geschäfte in direkter Umgebung und auch mit den Öffentlichen ist alles sehr gut zu erreichen. Somit alles prima! ##### Wolf B. It was a comfy retreat at the end of busy days. Easy walk to tube for the Bakerloo line and, as we discovered, easy way into London on the Lioness line as well. We liked the convenience of the M&S grocery on the way home from the tube as well as several local restaurants. ##### Lynn M. They were responsive when there were problems, but as you’ll see when you read other reviews, they often need to be responsive. They are good communicators, but a lot of what they communicate ought to be in their aging welcome book. The patio in back is almost completely filled with a trampoline, and the garden is not well kept there. I wish I had noticed that there was no photo for the second bedroom, because we found that you couldn’t open the closet door there. The bed seemed quite comfortable as it was in the master bedroom. There is no tub mat in the bathroom and it’s dangerous. There are no grab bars and you have to climb quite a tall wall to get into the tub. There are no towel bars to hold the very nice bath sheets. Walls have been repaired, but not yet repainted. This place could be great with just a little attention to fixing up those problems. ##### Mary D. The room setups were perfect - two private bedrooms and then a giant pullout couch.The location was also amazing. This was our first time going to London, but everything was accessible from the Queens Park tube station, and it was easy to figure out. There is also a great grocery store 1 minute away from the flat.Finally, Nicole is an amazing host. Was extremely responsive and helpful!Highly recommend! ##### jonathan r.
