There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so it was convenient to move around! However, the room I stayed in didn't have a refrigerator, so it might be a little difficult in the summer! I would highly recommand this hotel for families. The family room had to large beds and was clean. The hotell also have a good coffeeshop where you can buy softdrinks, coffee and some food. The children loved the italienmade pizza margerita. The underground is in walking distance. You often have to change line once, but we got to Picadelly sirkus, Oxford street and London Eye in less than 20 minuts. There are some traffic noice from the road in the room, but it didn’t bother us. But the service was clearly deficient: We’ve stayed for 4 nights, and the room was only done one of them. After complaining, I was told that I had to specifically ask at the reception before 11 AM for the room to be cleaned. If not, the cleaning team was too busy to clean all rooms. Just to state that this was not informed anywhere in the hotel, neither said at the check in. The bathroom was ok no visible hair, didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot though, towels had stains, basically water filled in soap dispensers in the shower and to wash hands. Only two towels provided and no toilet paper top up. Fan was broken and no AC. No safe. You could hear everything, sounded like doors being slammed every time someone left their room. Location was ok if familiar with the tube but not really close to anything touristy. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für den Städtetrip vollkommen ausreichend, wenn man low budget unterwegs ist und keine zu hohen Ansprüche mitbringt. Leider gab es keine Klimaanlage und es war heiß in London. Dafür hatten sie aber ein Ventilator ins Zimmer gestellt. Das Frühstück war eher typisch Britisch, aber es gab auch Toastbrot und Nutella, frisches Obst, Yoghurt und Cerealien. Für mich absolut ausreichend, da inklusive gebucht. London City ist fußläufig erreichbar und die Bahnstation für den Stansted Express quasi um die Ecke. Es gibt aber auch eine Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Im Großen und Ganzen war ich sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel soll demnächst renoviert werden, was es auch sehr nötig hat, Interieur ist sehr veraltet. Wir hatten ein 3er Zimmer, was ausreichend groß war. Leider hatten wir erst am dritten Tag eine Zimmerreinigung, Handtücher wurden uns jedoch direkt ausgehändigt. Da wir dies dem Umstand zu Gute heißen, dass wir während den Trauerfeierlichkeiten der Queen in London verweilten und das Hotel daher komplett ausgebucht zu sein schien, haben wir auch ein Auge zugedrückt. Insgesamt eine gute Lage um die Stadt zu erkunden und eine Bushaltestelle gibt es direkt vor der Haustür. Frühstück war typisch englisch, jedoch wurde immer schnell nachgefüllt. Insgesamt hat der Frühstücksraum ein Flair von Bahnhofshalle, aber der wird ebenfalls demnächst renoviert. Allowed me to early check in (mid-afternoon) which was great. One staff member was able to give me directions to everything I needed. Forget his name, black, a bit older than the rest of the staff, knew where to find everything! Downside: no air conditioning and it was HOT! Global warming is here--time to put a/c units in each room. Forced to open the window and it was loud outside with a local event, garbage trucks, and drunk people all night.
