The Selwyn Hotel could be a really super hotel. Some of it is lovely and we were very happy in part. However, when we arrived in our room, the previous occupant had left clothes in the wardrobe. Which suggests the room was not cleaned well enough before our arrival. We let reception know, they came & removed the clothes but also took all the hangers - which left us with nowhere to hang our clothes. We then decided to watch tv, but the tv did not work - no satellite connection. Someone came to check it, but it wouldn’t work. We didn’t really get an apology and we were not offered any recompense, which was disappointing. It’s a shame as it’s a beautiful hotel - with a bit more care it would be excellent.
