There was no AC, so had to keep the windows open. The tenant below smoked heavily, so we were coughing/choking on the smoke. The good: The location is central and a short walk to public transport. There are restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and the area felt safe. Communication with the property manager was good. Okay now for the bad: I absolutely hate leaving poor reviews and usually just won't leave a review at all but I would have like to have known the condition of this property so I felt I needed to. Upon entering, the apartment is visually clean apart from a large carpet stain in the bedroom. Then as you start to settle in you start noticing more and more issues. The shower has black mold and was tiled with non-waterproof tiles meant for fireplaces. The shower drains VERY slowly so even when turning the water on to wet yourself and off to shampoo/wash then back on to rinse the zero curb shower floods the entire bathroom and you end up standing in black mold water. The sliding bathroom door feels like it is about to fall off the wall. There is no light switch for the bathroom and it is automatic motion sensing which is fine until night time and someone has to use the restroom and it stays on for 10 more minutes after you're done so it keeps you awake. In the bedroom there is a portion of the wall with unknown grim running down the wall. There is a washing machine but somehow the entire washer and anything you are unlucky enough to wash in it comes out smelling of cigarette smoke. I feel like this could be a great little property but it definitely needs major work. ##### Donna S.
