J'étais déçu de l'état de la chambre. Ça ne ressemble pas du tout aux photos. Les draps et les serviettes étaient propres mais l'état de la chambre médiocre. En plus de tout ça, pas d'eau chaude la 2eme nuit avec aucun geste commercial. Le réceptionniste était nonchalant comme si ce n'était pas si nécessaire de prendre une douche ou quasi optionnel ! The rooms are tiny, kitted out with a disgusting full size fridge, scale ridden coffee and a bathroom with bloodstains. I could have forgiven some issues if the room was clean, but it looked like even that was a stretch too far to expect. We stayed one night, any longer we'd have gotten our money back and gone elsewhere. The bathrooms look as though they have recently been renovated, however, not looked after or cleaned. The bathroom is also tiny, to the point you can not move between the toilet and the shower. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Reception was listed as open till midnight. But upon arrival at 23:30 the reception was closed. The nr on the website wasn’t picking up. As a woman traveling solo I was left to fend for myself at midnight in London. Luckily enough I could sleep on a friends couch that night. In the morning, I got told a bullstory, that reception was supposed to be open till 23:00 and that Expedia wasn’t updated. He tried calling me but their phones don’t allow international nrs (you run a hotel ffs) There is more to this story but I’m only allowed 1500 characters. - the room was filthy, the sheets had stains on them. - The room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, which you could already smell when walking up the stairs. - The room was super hot (Nov), there were two fans, that didn’t work, and covered with a thick layer of dust. I had to sleep with the window open. With the bed right underneath it. - The door had no internal lock or deadbolt of any kind. - There was no water kettle. - Supposed to have daily housekeeping, tho my room wasn’t cleaned once. After complaining about this all they did was empty out the bin the next day. - I asked to be put in a different room, but they were fully booked. - At that point I just gave up, I was tired of “complaining” for just the bare basics. Yes I stayed for the remaining of my stay. I booked the hotel a month in advance so they would have time to provide a suitable room for a family with two children (one six months old and the other two years old). I didn't expect them to offer me a room on the top floor, the third floor. I had two strollers and bags, so I had to carry my baby's bag daily and my daughters three times a day. My stay wasn't short, so I left in the mornings and dreaded returning to the hotel when I remembered the stairs and the ordeal I went through, especially since they were very narrow. We travel frequently and have stayed in many hotels around the world. We’re not hotel snobs, but we do appreciate the comfort that 4- and 5-star properties usually provide. On this occasion, we had a meeting in London and didn’t want to spend over £400 for one night, so we decided to stay at the Plaza Hotel in Hammersmith instead. On arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member who explained everything we needed to know. The room itself could definitely use some modernisation. However, our main issue was the bed—it was extremely hard, and as a result, we barely slept, which wasn’t ideal before an important meeting. Overall, it’s fair to say you get what you pay for. After this experience, we’ve agreed that we’ll stick to 4- or 5-star hotels in the future.
