It was in very good shape for the age of the home. The kitchen has been updated with plenty of space to cook. We did open a few windows (although signs ask that we don't if we can help it) and bought air fresheners when we arrived as the home was very musky and needed fresh air. First glance, things were neat and orderly and surface cleaned (kitchen area, living room and all bathrooms). It was large enough for all 25 of us to sleep comfortably. The house is big and unique! We enjoyed playing games around the large table and watching movies in the movie theater room. The yard has lots of space to play. The house has large areas for gathering, plenty of play room, plenty sleeping room, and also has smaller areas for quiet, smaller groups. The location and the bathrooms were why we booked this property but it was disappointing on arrival. Air vents were filthy, baseboard heaters were broken and very dirty. There was dirt under sinks. We had to wash, sweep, and clean the patio and patio furniture to use it. Many of the chairs were broken and could not be used. Windows were filthy, bugs and dirt on surfaces, and spider webs hanging from most ceilings. In addition, the front door lock malfunctioned when the sun hit it. So we were locked out one afternoon. The owner asked us to fix it. There are no bathrooms on the main floor outside of the master bedroom.There were no shampoo, soap or condiments. The walls are thin and you. We were grateful there was a master bedroom with bathroom that only had a few stairs. All other bedrooms have many stairs so make sure you can do stairs. A few glitches with power but they responded quickly and I am sure they will get that fixed.
