"After realizing I had booked a "1 star" hotel, we were a little hesitant with our lodging choice but were pleasantly surprise upon arrival. The room at the Kelvin was the largest we had on our 3 week trip to UK with plenty of room for luggage. There was a small desk/table and chairs and was clean and well kept. There is a bar onsite which we did not visit. The hotel is conveniently located very near to the bus/train station and town. We only stayed one night and had no real interactions with staff. Would not hesitate to recommend for someone looking at lower cost lodging."

The walls were quite thin, so a phone conversation in the next room was also audible. It was fine for a one night stay on the way to our next stop."
