Your stay is packed with fun and creative experiences! #CozyTinyHome #HolidayHomesNZ The Space: Loburn Retreat- Fireside by Tiny Away sits in a quiet, rural location of the South Island, New Zealand, just 12 minutes from the historic farming town of Rangiora and 43 minutes from the city of Christchurch. Our cozy, tiny home is conveniently located near popular attractions such as Waikuku Beach, a variety of restaurants and cafes in Rangiora, and the well-loved Ohoka Farmers' Market. You’re also just 20 minutes from Pegasus Coast beaches and Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. The retreat sits on a sloped block and offers guests private access to a woodland area featuring a slackline, firepit teepee, labyrinth walk, and a shared space for games, art, and relaxation. It's a 139-square-foot tiny house with easy water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent private bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers). IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we also have a second tiny home, "Loburn Retreat - Water's Edge by Tiny Away," available with 24 hours' notice. Campervan parking and Tent sites are also available. Guest Access: Guests have access to the tiny house and surrounding areas. However, access to the main house, decking, and backpacker bus accommodation is restricted. For the convenience of all guests, we provide clean, filtered drinking water and seasonal herbs for tea. Supermarkets are just a 10-minute drive away. NOTICE TO ALL: Backpacker accommodation is located at the far end of the property, with minimal contact expected outside of community spaces. Town amenities, mountain walks, and ocean strolls are nearby, and clear skies offer ideal star-gazing opportunities around a real fire. The Neighborhood: Loburn Retreat- Fireside by Tiny Away is nestled in the serene countryside of Loburn, South Island, New Zealand, just 12 minutes from Rangiora and 43 minutes from Christchurch. Local favourites include Waikuku Beach, Karikaas Cheese, and Lemongrass Restaurant, all just minutes away in or near Loburn. For day trips, you can explore Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, Mt Thomas Forest, Castle Hill, or Hanmer Springs. The grass slop to walk down to the tiny home did not have lighting down it and was dangerous as it was wet. The steps up to the tiny home had a fountain covering half the step, we found this dangerous, and had no lighting to safely nagavate to the tiny home.
