Silver Birch is located just outside the charming village of Livingston in the beautiful Driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin. Float in your kayak at Blackhawk Lake, go fishing at Governor Dodge, or maybe you want to bring your bicycle to hop on the Military Ridge Trail. Let Silver Birch welcome you home from your adventure or just sit on the deck and watch the windmills turn.

This stay met all expectations! The rooms were comfortable, nice linens and beds, tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, with a nice variety of coffe/tea supplies. Property is pet friendly with treats and poop bags, pooper scooper supplied. Nice layout: HUGE room downstairs for the grandkids, three large bedrooms upstairs for adults. Bathrooms had plenty of plush towels, including makeup towels. Every detail was checked. Very quiet area, right off the highway, easily accessible with outside outlet for EV charging. Communication w/hosts was easy and response was swift. We’ve already booked our next stay.

Silver Birch Retreat had great space for our family ( 6 adullts and 3 grandkids) over the Thanksgiving holiday while we were visiting relatives in Montfort. The tri-level layout was spacious for gathering; the bedrooms on the upper and lower levels were away from the living area so provided a nice separation for those retiring early or sleeping later. The kitchen was impressively well stocked with coffee, tea, and even butter sticks in the frig! A welcome gift of specialty popcorn was a fun find. There was some outdoor play equipment that was enjoyed, helping to burn off a 5 year old's excess energy. Our host was very responsive. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend Silver Birch Retreat to any considering staying in this area.

Location was great. Bear multiple state parks and recreation areas. Just outside small town of Livingston. Host was great offering many amenities on site. Would definitely consider renting this property again.

College Classmate Reunion

When entering the home you immediately feel comfortable!Plenty of room for the "5" "Madison Business College" friends. We sat at the dining room table and talked and had snacks! Enjoyed the back deck and sunset! It was perfect!! Would do this again. It would be perfect for a family with kids also.

A perfect place to stay!

The property was just as pictured, and the home was very clean and spacious. All beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were provided too. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The host was thoughtful and even provided charcoal to grill and wood for a campfire. The large yard was fun to run & play and ideal for an Easter egg hunt. The location is great with larger cities of Lancaster, Mineral Point, and Platteville each about 20 minutes away and local gas stations are close by for last minute wants. Lastly, the host was very kind, responsive, and welcoming. We definitely felt at home. Thank you!

Great house and location

Great property in the middle of a farm field. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of space. The fist thing the kids said was “this place is amazing!!” The kids room was indeed amazing - very large and a cool hang out for them. With bunk beds plus 3 other large beds. Large 8-person dining table we all fit at for eating and doing activities like cookie decorating, manicures, and painting/arts & crafts. The kitchen had everything. Such a cozy way to spend time playing games and watching movies with my friend and her kids along with my own family.

Wisconsin Getaway

A great time in rural Wisconsin! A very nice home near the quaint town of Livingston. All the amenities as if you were coming to your own home! Nicely decorated and plenty of space, cups, silverware, housewares, grilling necessities, seating and beds! The host was easy to work with and answered all questions in a timely manner! Overall worth every penny!

The property was clean and relaxing. Everything that we required was provided. Bedding, towels, kitchen items and bbq items were all provided. Our time was relaxing and completely enjoyable. We had two families, 4 kids, the sleeping accommodations were great. Directions to the property from vrbo needs to be given plus the address. My car GPS did not take me to the property but the phone did. Other than that hiccup I recommend this property for a great place to relax

Wonderful

This was our 2nd rental in a year for a golf trip, the moment you enter it is obvious the attention to detail and comfort. Lisa has made this your home not just a rental. The beds are more comfortable than mine at home, will rent again if anywhere in the area. The house was the biggest consideration to return to the area, 5 * without a doubt.
