Great
Chambre familiale très grande, on s'attendait à un lit sur la mezzanine, mais en fait, c'est une vraie suite parentale à l'étage. Nous étions 3 adultes et 2 enfants, c'était parfait. Personnel très aimable avec de bonnes recommandations. Un service petit déjeuner serait bienvenu et plus facile à gérer avec des enfants, mais nous avons trouvé de quoi faire dans la rue. Super séjour, merci

Die Unterkunft war wirklich nett eingerichtet und der Gastgeber Paul war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist ca. 20 min mit dem Bus von Liverpool Central entfernt und liegt in einer leider nicht so schönen Gegend. Das Bussystem war für uns eine Herausforderung und leider haben wir immer sehr lange gebraucht um vom Stadtzentrum wieder ins Hotel zurückzukehren. Sonst war alles wie beschrieben, es gab im Hotel eine Klimaanlage und saubere Zimmer.

This hotel was done out lovely, the thing that ruined it for me and the reason I. Won’t go back was the cheap uncomfortable bedding! The pillows I took pictures of as seeing was believing if they cost £3 they would have been robbed. They measured less than 2imches thick and were solid flattened bricks. The duvet was a cheap crinkle one. I was soooooo disappointed, what’s the point of doing your hotel up and scrimping on the comforts, your customers don’t want poor sleep quality

Enjoyed my stay at The Glebe Hotel very much. The owner was very gracious in greeting me upon arrival. Room was spotless and comfortable. Many varied food options nearby. I'd definitely stay here again.

There aren’t any facilities for eating, but restaurants and pubs that serve food are nearby. There are also takeaways and there’s no problem with bringing food back to your room. There’s also a pub below the hotel that doesn’t serve food. Paul, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms were really well appointed, extremely spacious but still felt cozy, freshly decorated and spotlessly clean.

Great find! Walking distance to Goodison Park. Must cab elsewhere as no dining at hotel. When downstairs pub serves food and towels are fluffier - this place will be a spa!!

Dear Helen We are surprised and disappointed to read this review , as its untrue , specifically because you did not stay at The Glebe Hotel. The guest that actually did stay at our hotel under this booking reference ( we cannot state his name on this public platform ) actually had a very nice stay and had no complaints whatsoever. He also stated that he wants to return next time he is in Liverpool. I had sent 2 emails advising we'd have a late check in- taking the train from London. We never got a response. The outside pics of the hotel are NOT accurate. The pub downstairs is not affiliated with the hotel, and the 'entrance' to the hotel is on a side street with bolted double barn doors. No one answered the phone # posted on the wall outside. We had to go into the pub and they let us into the 'courtyard' via a back door. The stairs up to the hotel are metal (think fire escape stairs), and we had 2 large pieces of luggage + backpacks. The gentleman from the hotel helped us with the luggage, but the stairs were dicey at best in the damp environment of Liverpool. The inside of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The room was wonderful and the front desk attendants were great. There was no check in process - just showed him my passport. Also, not told when check out was (assumed 11am), but a gruff cleaning man at 10am told us it was 10:30. Overall it was a nice room, but would not stay again.

Hello Anne , Thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel , we do appreciate your feedback.Firstly , i apologies for the non response to your emails , this should not happen , i have followed up with our staff to ensure we do not repeat.Regarding the entrance to hotel and your arrival. Yes we do have door bell and clear signage with contact numbers on gate as well , our staff should have picked up your call , im not sure what happened here , but once again i have followed up with our staff to ensure we mitigate the chance of this happening again in future. On your check-in , our process is for our staff to check ID which they did here , they should also explain the checkout times and general movement in and out of Hotel , including the facilities within the room. It sounds like parts of this did not happen on this occasion , which is not acceptable and disappointing , please accept our apologies here. As you can see from many previous guest reviews , we strive to deliver a great guest experience from the time you arrive , during your stay and when your depart , and in most cases we do achieve this , this is reflected in the positive reviews many of our guest have written over time. On this occasion it appears that we have fallen short here , once again we hope this did not cause you to much upset during your visit. We have listened to your feedback and have taken remedial actions. Thank you.

Overall not too bad, could do with dusting a lot of cobwebs and dust over looking the top floor in the vip suite. One of the single beds had a red spot stain on the bed sheet and the pillow case needed replacing. And the tv mounted to the wall need to be swivel ones so you can pull them out a bit so you can access the HDMI port so your children can use their consoles when bored.

The rooms were lovely in the Glebe, and the owner was so nice and welcoming. It was easy to get to the center of Liverpool by bus. There is a burger place just down the road that was phenomenal.

10/10 stunning room, stunning building, great stay
We stayed in the family suite, which was stunning! It was huge, clean and so beautifully decorated. The building is a listed building so had stunning features in our suite, such as a vaulted ceiling, original wooden beams and stunning stained glass windows which lit up the room when the sun shone through them. Not only was the room and the building stunning, Abdul, the manager was amazing: friendly, welcoming and provided great service. I would definitely stay here again, a hidden gem amongst the backdrop of Liverpool.

Quiet Luxury 10 Minutes from Liverpool Train
This hotel is a quick 10-minute ride from the Liverpool Train Station in the heart of Liverpool. The bus stop is just steps away -- maybe two minutes. Numerous buses arrive FREQUENTLY at all hours. My room was large with luxurious bed and bath. However, The Glebe rate should be lower because it is an "air bnb"-type facility with no hotel staff and it is not located in the usual hotel area. Nothing wrong with that! However, the rate should accurately reflect the offering. When I arrived, I got a code to access the property and a key to open both the hotel door and my room. I never saw another person during my three-night stay: not in the office nor in the hotel. There are a few high stairs to access the property so I would not recommend this for the infirm. The neighborhood felt safe and has lots of neighborhood stores for meals and snacks. There is a bar/club facility for mature people on the first floor. I heard music ONE NIGHT but it ended at a very reasonable time. I would recommend this hotel without reservation at a lower price due to location and lack of staff. However, if you want a quieter hotel away from the hustle and noise of the main hotel areas: The Glebe is perfect.

Perfect short stay
Absolutely lovely hotel, room was absolutely spotless, spacious, well decorated and great facilities. Cannot fault it. We were checked in by the owner who was super friendly and showed us everything in the room. We will definitely be back next time we visit family in the area.

Amazing hotel
The hotel is just beautiful! Our room was outstanding. The kids all loved it. We stayed in the family suite and the upstairs room is actually separate with it’s own bathroom, not quite clear in the pictures but an added bonus. Decor is modern and everywhere was clean with a fantastic, friendly host.

One night stay - April
This hotel is an excellent hotel very clean and very modern looking inside, had a very enjoyable one night stay. The only 2 slight criticisms I have are as follows: 1. On arrival you enter the hotel via gate at the back of the building but you have to ring mobile numbers etc trying to get hold of someone to let you in seems very awkward. Should you not at least send the gate code with your welcome email message? Woukd help and if the reception is staffed you could leave the other door unlocked and the guests would be able to walk in rather than stood on the street trying 3 different phone numbers to gain access to the hotel wasn’t a good experience. 2. There was no central heating, so in the morning the room was freezing cold? I could not see any radiators etc. this also wasn’t great. But overall the place looks lovely and it looks like it is very well maintained and very clean.. Thank you
