The perfect location to visit Lisbon! This old and spacious house was recently (2017) renovated and decorated preserving the original moth. The charming garden and Portuguese tiles combined with comfort make this house a perfect choice for living in Lisbon. House consists of 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, spacious living and dining room, fully equipped kitchen, breakfast room and garden with dining table and lounge area. Bathrooms with hair dryer, shower gel and shampoo. Bath sheets and towels are provided, with wifi internet, cable TV and central heating. Ideal for families. With accessibility for people with motor disabilities. Please note that no parties, birthday celebrations or any activities generating any noise are tolerated. If the idea of your trip is to gather friends in Lisbon to celebrate any event, our home is not suitable and we appreciate you considering booking somewhere else. The house is a 2-minute walk from Bairro Alto and 5 minutes from Chiado. Bairro Alto is an old and picturesque neighborhood well known for its unmissable nightlife and trendy and vintage shops. Chiado is one of the most emblematic and traditional neighborhoods of the city of Lisbon. In this area we find everything for any time of the day: a lazy brunch, restaurants, fado houses, grocery stores, supermarkets, art galleries, bookstores, theater, trendy shops and modernly designed gift shops to bring to your friends and family. A must see: the house is a 1-minute walk from the Adamastor viewpoint, which is a privileged stage for watching the sunset and the Tagus River. The location of the house is excellent: . well-known tram no. 28 runs almost outside the door, the stop is a 2-minute walk away. No. 28 goes through most of the main tourist sites: Graça, Alfama, Baixa Pombalina, São Jorge Castle. . 5 minutes walk from the metro; . 10/15 minutes walk to the train station to the beach / Cascais or Belém; . 15/20 minute walk to Sintra train station - this enchanted village is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This area is extremely central with easy access to various transport networks that lead everywhere. Best of all, in a very quiet street where you can relax to the sound of birds. And if you are walking, you can easily discover Lisbon from here - Principe Real - 10/15 minutes, Rossio - 10/15 minutes, Baixa Pombalina - 10/15 minutes, São Jorge Castle - about 30 minutes, Alfama - about 30 minutes... Very smooth check-in and super flexible on check-in timing. The property is very spacious with an excellent well stocked kitchen. We loved the location and found it easy to get around town. The neighborhood is residential and restricted. So a taxi is key versus Uber as they have the ability to access the area and get you right to the front door. While the home was totally refurbished in 2017 a couple of things would benefit from an update:1) The couch was well used and lacked support in some seating.2) The small bath off the kitchen lacks an exhaust fan and mildew is an issue.3) The home is very well constructed so airflow is a challenge and one must keep windows open to promote airflow.4 The outdoor grounds are very cool with nice lighting but are in need of some attention.We rated this property very high because everything else was simply spectacular. ##### Jeffrey P. Great location in charming neighborhood and parking is available a short distance from property for those with cars. Very comfortable common areas and a beautiful private courtyard. They showed us what to do and what not to do. Very easy check in and for those other folks who may be worried about the air-conditioning and WIFI. Don't worry- it was perfect. The home was well appointed and laid out well. The courtyard was absolutely lovely and gave the kids in our group an area to play and adults an area to hang out in the evenings. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and made check-in and check-out super easy. I would highly recommend this place, especially if traveling with a group. Be warned - the hills are a killer on your legs (especially with luggage!) I'd recommend taking a car to a point above the house and walk down - it is much easier than being dropped at the bottom and walking up. When we entered the specific house address, most Ubers left us off at the bottom of the hill so we learned quickly to use a different address to get dropped off above. ##### Kira B. The is completely updated, clean, easy to access and in a wonderful location. It is quite spacious and comfortable. This is the perfect property families (we had 9) or larger groups. It is located just a short walk from many bars, restaurants and shops. The yard is truly an oasis. As great as the property is on its own, what makes it even more special are Luis and Rita. The house is very clean and well furnished and equipped. Nice courtyard for the kids. No steps or elevators to deal with. Good location with everything you need close by. I can't say enough good things about the host Luis. Very attentive to our needs. In fact after I locked my packpack and passport in the house on the day we were leaving , he came promptly to unlock the door and actually drove me to the airport.
