Staying in this apartment is having a complete local and traditional experience. Here, you are in the middle of the Bairro Alto within walking distance from all the main places to visit in Lisbon such as Rossio, Baixa, Chiado, Principe Real, and even the São Jorge Castle and its picturesque neighborhood called Alfama. The 100 square meter apartment is on the 3rd floor of a building with no elevator. It features 4 bedrooms, 1 living and dining room, 1 complete bathroom and an equipped kitchen. That led to a pretty bad smell throughout the apartment. Next morning we were woken up early by construction in the apartment below us. Last but worst was later that day we had an ant infestation in the kitchen (we brought in no food) as well as about 40-50 bugs crawling on bathroom tile in the shower. When called to complain they simply said it is hot out and bugs will come in when windows are left open. We actually had not left windows open but I guess once they have your money you are no longer a priority at this property. Never using them again. ##### Rick S. It was 100 degrees and above all four days we were there and we could never cool the place down. It really was unbearable. Another thing I didn’t see mentioned is that the floor in the main living space is 5” higher than the other side.Lastly, the area is very loud until 4am, so if you are planning on keeping the doors/windows open, think again.One more thing is that the couches are uncomfortable. I know there are a lot of complaints here, but I feel it has to be mentioned to warn others.
