Bairro Alto is one of the most vibrant and central neighborhood of Lisboa, , with its many cafes like A Brasileira (5 minutes ) , local designer shops, very nice restaurants and trendy bars In the morning, the sun gets in and illuminates the day for you. Every major tourist highlights are in walking distance from the studio. The host was warm, responsive, and quick to answer any questions, and also offered great local recommendations. The location is fantastic, as you walk out the door you step right into the energy of the city. It can be noisy, so I’d suggest bringing ear plugs, but the building’s age adds to its charm. No amenities such as coffee. To reach the apartment requires 5 flights of very steep stairs. The apartment is above a VERY loud street with music blasting and people yelling throughout the night. It is also across from a preschool so during the day the sound of children screaming comes right in your window. It is a great location to start your exploring of the city. This area of town is quite lively with many bars and restaurants. Take the short walk across the street to Valdosta Gatti Pizza Bio.
