Great location
Location was great to go to both sides of island, beach but not good for swimming. Basic hotel room, should upgrade coffee maker to kuerig in order to have morning coffee. Thank you for cleaning room half way thru stay!

Great Place
We had a wonderful time at this resort. The room was clean, the ammenities were great, and the location was perfect. We could get anywhere on the island within an hour. Beautiful spot close to beaches, shops, and restaurants. We loved watching the sunrise over the ocean every morning. We would stay here again!

Nice Unit and a Beautiful Resort
We appreciated getting to stay at a top resort for a discounted rate. The room was very nice, exactly as described. The daily parking fee is high. The resort is convenient to all parts of the island, so it allowed us to explore easily. We enjoyed the resort pools, hot tubs and beach, too.

The property is set back from the highway so very quiet. I never even heard my neighbors. Nice little lanai with peaceful view. Loved sleeping to the sound of the surf. I didn't use the pools but there are several and lovely. We ate twice in the restaurant on site and it was very good and reasonable priced. Minor negatives: It's basically just a hotel room with a mini fridge. The bed seemed old and not very comfortable. Pillows were either flat or too big. Hotel style coffee maker in the room but only one days worth of coffee. Overall still 5 stars because reasonable price for a very nice place.

Easy check in process. Room was clean. Unrelated to owner. Construction in other rooms was annoying. Often started by 6 am. Marijuana smoker near our balcony ruined most times to enjoy. Odor less than pleasant. Staff pleasant during all interactions.

Ocean view from lovely space.
Loved this entire property for everything it has to offer. The room is as advertised on the listing and did not leave us wanting anything. 3rd floor ocean view did not disappoint which also overlooks a huge vacant private lot with various wildlife roaming about. Although functional, room could be updated, my only suggestion would be an upgraded showerhead. AC was amazing, and kept us comfortable during our entire stay. Several pools to enjoy outside of the beach and hot tub also right there. Food options are good for about a 4-5 day stay, before hitting the repeat button. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and neither should you. Being about 2 miles out of Lihue, you may want a rental car, which is the only expense (~$30 day) the resort charged us for.

Great small resort and loved the view from our room. Bad location
This was our second time at Kauai beach resort. We love the grounds and small, quiet feel. Location isn’t very convenient for proximity to restaurants. Nancy was super responsive and helpful. The view was incredible from her unit.

Great place to stay. Pools and room were in good condition. With the private rooms you dont get the cultural activities and yoga, but theres so many other things to do on the island we wouldn't have wanted to do any of that anyway. Nancy was fantastic - answered all questions promptly, was very accomodating with covid travel changes, very helpful with activity recommendations. We had a blast. Only thing was dining options on the resort werent great, but there are lots of restaurants to go to nearby and the room has a fridge and theres a microwave available in one of the buildings so we could make a lot of our own meals.

Very friendly service, location perfect to discover the island. The unit with nice view to ocean and quiet. Beach perfect if you like beach walking not for swimming. But many nice beaches around. The restaurant is OK but you will find many better on the island.

The grounds of this property are gorgeous and well kept. The unit was clean and had a nice view. The food at the restaurants was great! The pools were very clean and enjoyable. You do need a car to get around. The beach was lovely to look at but unfortunately no swimming there. That was my only disappointment. I would definitely recommend and stay again!!

Everything as expected; great resort price!
This room was an excellent choice for vacation with my partner. We wanted to stay in the middle of Kauai so we can drive around the island and come back to a central spot that was near restaurants. I couldn't have asked for a better location on the island...so close to the airport. Really the only difference between this VRBO room and a room thru the resort is TOWELS (cannot use towel hut). Everything else was just as though we booked through the resort. We did not need to communicate with the host because everything was adequately provided and our only questions could have been handled by the resort front desk. Big pluses: 4 pools, covered parking, location, balcony+private view. Negatives: seemed like the resort only had 1 kitchen but 3 restaurants slash bar/grill so food was relatively limited. Breakfast was my favorite menu. Room was perfectly clean and there was a broom to sweep up sand since housekeeping is a separate request. Cable tv for rainy nights. Overall very pleased with our stay!

Convenient and comfortable
Location was great for us as we had landed in the evening and didn’t want to have to drive far away to our place from the airport. It also made a lot of sense to be centrally located for our plans to drive all around the island without having to spend too much time traveling. Place was perfect for the two of us and was nice to be able to dip in the pool after long days of hiking. Check-in was easy, but just a reminder that there is a fee for parking each day if you have a car (outlined in the listing, but just wanted to note this). Laundry can be a bit spendy (coin-operated machines) if you plan to do so on location (we stayed 5 nights so it was necessary). Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time at this condo! The beach isnt great for swimming as the reef comes all the way up to the sand, however the resort pools and restaraunt are fantastic. At this price, yuo won't find a better or more central location on the island.

The resort is very relaxing. We chose this location to decompress and plan for the rest of the trip.
The room is basic, but spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the neighboring field and ocean. It does have a coffee maker and mini fridge but there is no microwave, so be prepared to dine at the resort restaurant or order in, both of which are fairly expensive.

Fantastic
We had so much fun staying here. The hotel staff were all so friendly and we were even able to check in a bit early when our flight got in ahead of schedule. The dining was on the pricey-side but delicious. We definitely give this resort and the room 5 stars!

We have stayed here before so are aware of the great pools, with slide for kids however it is needing upkeep and renovations. The ocean view is spectacular but the beach was a terrible mess of debris and garbage. The new management do zero clean up. That was disappointing. Parking your vehicle is extra every day. So are resort fees. So be prepared. The unit was clean, carpet needs replacing, smells a bit mouldy. There are no extra sheets for the chaise lounge, so if you have a child under 7 years to sleep on it, be for-warned. The bar fridge is a very small one. The price is better than if you book through the hotel, so thats a plus. Theres a nice gift shop on site, but its more expensive than any other gift shop we saw on the island. So shop around. Coffee shop won’t let you bring your own reusable coffee mug. Hotel staff are friendly. Kauai, is if course, fabulous!!

Thanks for taking a time to write a review. I am sorry to hear that the beach is not clean. I will report this to the resort. Parking is $22.51/day as described in the listing. Resort fee is also listed in the ad and paid at booking. Carpet was replaced 2 years ago, We have had quite a bit of rain, which can add to the humidity and perhaps the slider was left open quite a bit. I have rarely had that complaint, but will address it with the maintenance team. If you call me or let the front desk know, we will arrange extra sheet for your 7 years old child.

Paradise in October
We stayed at this location in early October of 2019. The room was clean and had a view of the ocean. There were several pools on the well maintained property. We also had a balcony that was nice to use. I knew that there was a 25.00 parking fee for each night, but it is still a steep fee in my opinion. Everything else was fantastic. It is a good location to explore all parts of the island! I would stay here again.

Loved the property, well attended and excellent staff!! The room, being a Hotel room was very comfortable and fit our needs . The bed is extremely comfortable. The only disadvantage would be, if you don’t have a car, you are in the middle of nowhere!! Very isolated!

Great Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay. The unit is wonderful, lovely view and it was great being at a beautiful resort with all of the amenities. We used Lyft to go to restaurants which at the end of our vacation cost us $98.00. We rented a car at the hotel for a day of sightseeing. Highly recommend Dukes at the Marriott, Lava Lava Beach Club in Kapaa, and Hukelani Lanai also in Kapaa. The food on the property was good but not enough choices after a few days. We thank Nancy for having such a lovely unit, we'll be back!!

Kaua’i Beach Resort
Beautiful Resort with great amenities. This was our second visit to Kauai and this resort. The proximity to both the north and south beaches of the island is very appealing to my family. KBR fits all our needs. The room was well kept and we enjoyed walking out onto the lanai to the pools. We had a question for Nancy during our stay and she was quick to respond. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this room.

We enjoyed our week. The place was right next to the beach and we went walking along it in the mornings. We enjoyed the hot tub and pools. The food at the restaurant and lounge was convenient and very good. Enjoyed the omelet bar at the breakfast buffet.

The room is well appointed, clean and updated. The view of the ocean was very nice and I was treated to a pod of whales spouting one morning! The hotel bars/restaurants were typical of a resort, plenty of parking, and because you are not surrounded by other resorts, the beach is wide open for sunrise walks. I would definitely stay here again. It is a great place to stay to explore the island.

Beautiful location!
We knew going in this was a hotel room, so no surprises. It’s spacious and functional for 2 people. Nice lanai to enjoy the view and morning coffee! The bed is comfortable and the chaise is a nice addition. For those of you who want to do a little work while in Kauai....gasp.....there is a good desk and chair. There are no supplies in the unit so we purchased some dishes and utensils from Walmart and were able to have breakfast every morning and lunch occasionally. A microwave would be a welcome addition. As Nancy points out, there is a parking fee of $25 per day. This added $300 to our bill for a 2 week stay...something to consider. We were somewhat surprised to find out that we weren’t allowed to attend the Tuesday evening gathering for cocktails and entertainment because we were staying in a private unit. It would be a nice touch if 2 tickets were included. The hotel amenities are okay, but the laundry facilities are lacking....only 2 washers and one dryer were working when we were there. The restaurants offer some good menu choices and the prices are in line with other restaurants we visited. The pools are clean and beautifully landscaped. You can’t swim in the ocean at the hotel, but the beach is great for walking. We would return to Nancy’s unit without hesitation and enjoy this little piece of paradise! Mahalo Nancy!

The property was beautiful -- right on the ocean, multiple pools, awesome sunrise. Extra charges were higher than expected. On the property food options were expensive. A car is necessary if you rent from a private individual; if you rent from the Resort they have a shuttle. Our room wasn't stocked very well - we had 1 glass and 2 paper coffee cups (for a 6-day stay). Resort information left in our room was out of date -- we called to order food from the pool bar and many of the items were no longer available because they had a new menu (it wasn't in the room).

Aloha stay at Kaua’i Beach Resort
Our room was perfect for our needs. The room was large, beautiful view from our balcony, property was gorgeous with several pools, bar/outdoor eating right on the ocean, wonderful restaurant and bar with happy hour and beautiful Hawaiian music each night, spa, Hawaiian show on Tuesday evening and much more. Kaua’i Beach Resort is an extraordinary place to vacation. Maholo!!
