The Space:

Sunshine cottage is a modern and well designed holiday home in the peaceful village of Preston-under-Scar. This picturesque cottage is the perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the local area.



Upon entering the cottage you are welcomed into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area, a bright and well thought out space.



The living room is home to a pale two seater sofa, a sheepskin style foot stool, a bright yellow feature chair and single occasional chair, perfectly placed in the window. With a large flat screen TV you can enjoy evenings at home watching your favourite box set. Fitted with streaming apps, you can log into your account and pick up where you left off. The dining space sits alongside the living room with a round dining table and matching chairs for four.



The kitchen is designed with a clean aesthetic and fitted with high spec fixtures and fittings. Fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and a fridge freezer you have everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. Cookware and crockery are supplied and you have the added luxury of a dishwasher.



The two bedrooms are located just off this main room. The first bedroom is a twin room with two single beds and the second room features a comfortable double. Both rooms have a cool colour palette, storage for your personal items and the beds are dressed with luxury linens to aid a peaceful night sleep.



The bathroom is situated between the kitchen and second bedroom and features a large corner shower, WC and wash basin.



With a well maintained outdoor area you can enjoy the fresh North Yorkshire air with your loved ones.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Sunshine Cottage are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.



There is parking for one car available on a private driveway at the property and additional parking for a second vehicle directly outside the cottage.



The Neighborhood:

Preston-under-Scar is a delightful village located close to Leyburn in Wensleydale. This peaceful village may not have a restaurant or pub to enjoy but the views across to Penhill are truly amazing. Redmire and Wensley are a short drive away and Leyburn is just three miles from the property so you are ideally placed to enjoy quirky shops and cafes, traditional pubs and a weekly market.



If you want to explore a little further afield, take a trip to Richmond. Visit a range of independent shops, cafés and pubs in the beautiful cobbled market place, and don't miss the spectacular Richmond Castle – one of the finest surviving Norman castles in the UK.



Sunshine Cottage will provide the perfect base to explore the local area and wider Yorkshire Dales region.



Getting Around:

Getting around the Yorkshire Dales is quick and convenient with the towns and villages located so close together. You can use the Leeds-Morecambe line and the famous Settle-Carlisle line which give fantastic access to the Dales on one of the most spectacular train journeys in England.



Enjoy the beautiful countryside as you cross valleys, rise up over hills and wind round the country roads.



You can take the number 156, Little White Bus from Bainbridge, through Hawes and onto Gayle. In the opposite direction you can enjoy the drama of Aysgarth Falls and travel through to Leyburn at the heart of Wensleydale.



Teesside International Airport is 30 miles away from Preston-under-Scar.
