This charming semi-detached barn conversion has been lovingly restored to provide comfortable holiday accommodation with character.. Ground Floor:

Wet Room: Shower, Toilet. Electric heating (underfloor in hall and wet room), electricity, bed linen, towel and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. Utility room with freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with owners).. Garden. Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Retaining original beams, this stone-built cottage was originally used as a stable block, giving the property its name.  
  
It is situated next to a working farm in the pretty village of East Witton, just a few miles from the market town of Leyburn. This is a great destination for anyone looking to explore the Yorkshire Dales, with walking trails nearby, as well as Jervaulx Abbey and Braithwaite Hall. The village has an award-winning traditional pub serving seasonal local cuisine in front of a roaring fire, great for unwinding after a day exploring.  
  
Furnished to a very good standard, this cottage is perfect for couples looking for a special break away. On entering the property, step into the stone flagged entrance hall with underfloor heating for a warm welcome. The layout of the cottage is upside down, with a ground floor kingsized bedroom. Upstairs you have the well-equipped kitchen and a separate living room with a dining area. The comfortable, cosy living room is simply perfect for lounging in an evening in front of the TV after a hearty home-cooked meal. The modern shower room, with a wet room-style shower benefits from underfloor heating, ensuring you start your day refreshed and warm.  
  
The owner has taken careful consideration in ensuring guests receive a memorable welcome, and the personal touches add to the enjoyment of your stay.  
  
There is so much to do from this romantic cottage, from the walks and cycle trails of the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the quaint villages and market towns including Hawes, Leyburn and Masham. The amenities of Middleham are just a short drive away, and include excellent old pubs and local restaurants, as well as a well-stocked general store and imposing castle. A walkers’ haven, with the challenge of Penhill a particular favourite. Or why not plan a day out to ‘The Forbidden Corner’ a walled garden with surprises sure to delight those who visit. Golf and horse riding nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
