This warmly decorated home is ideal for family vacations or a couple’s getaway. The cabin looks out on its own huge private river front and accompanying meadow (think: capture the flag, walking meditations, Andy Goldsworthy sculpture building sessions). Indoor kitchen island seats six and doubles as dining table. We offer super fast fiber optic WiFi for those that need to stay connected; this also allows you to partake in content movies, etc. via fire stick. The covered deck on the second floor has a large dining table and gas BBQ perfect when weather's warmer. The Hot Tub is nestled on the patio below with another table and seating area. There are two bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs doubles as a game/living room with a sofa bed for a third bedroom. A path meanders from the patio through the field to the Chiwawa River where you can dip in the water or just watch the river rush by. Also by the river is a stone fire ring and seating, bring wood and smore's makings - during County approved months. The beautiful Bavarian village of Leavenworth is 20 minutes away with its many seasonal festivals. Mountain Springs Lodge is a couple of minutes away with snowmobile rentals, a restaurant and sleigh rides. You can schedule a snowmobile tour and a dinner all on the same night. In summer months you can schedule horseback rides at Mountain Springs or hike some of the many nearby trails. In the tiny town of Plain, you will find Just Plain Grocery and Plain Hardware, a store with a surprising selection of garden, home, and personal accessories for your shopping pleasure\~ espresso too! Some of the many activities available nearby include Lake Wenatchee state park 10 minutes away, for the anglers - Fish Lake is 10 minutes away. Host Lisa was very gracious answering several messages with pre-visit questions. The property is beautiful (but unfortunately very smoky from Chelan fires while we were there so we opted to mostly stay indoors). Wedding was at Mountain Springs Lodge VERY close by so this location was perfect for Nana watching kids while parents attended the adults only festivities. Would whole-heartedly recommend and would love to visit again.(Loved the helpful touches, like labels on all the light and fan switches so you knew what each operated!) Séjour de 3 nuits en juillet 2025 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### Ann s. 19 juill. 2025 Points forts : Propreté Absolutely — here’s a revised version of your review that includes the new details clearly and respectfully:---Misleading listing and an unwelcoming experience ruined our family trip.We booked this house a year in advance, expecting a relaxing family vacation, but it turned out to be incredibly disappointing. The listing advertised a 3-bedroom, but it was not a true 3-bedroom, and although it claimed to have air conditioning, the system did not cool the house properly.I had arranged for my adult son to stay in a nearby hotel to avoid exceeding the 6-person limit. Then, just three days before our stay, I received a nasty message from the host stating that he wasn’t even allowed to be on the property at all—no visitors were allowed, even briefly. That felt extreme, especially for a family trip. At no time was he going to sleep there, only come by for dinner and enjoy the river. To make things worse, the host sent a plumber to the house not once, but twice during our stay, which technically put us over the six-person limit anyway. The whole situation felt inconsistent and uncomfortable, like we were being monitored instead of welcomed.This was supposed to be a special time for our family, and instead it was full of stress and frustration. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone hoping for a family vacation. ##### Ann s. Overall me and my family enjoyed the stay for 3 nights. When you go to the river in backyard make sure to put on the anti mosquito spray. My natural herbal spray was essential oil of citronella and lemon grass 5 drops each in 8 oz of water works fine naturally. ##### ravie k. Beautiful cabin and love where its located. Never bothered by anyone. It was quiet. My dogs love it and loved playing in the front yard. Plenty of games to play with the family. Made a few friends (2 frogs ) The hot tub was a bonus too!!! The sound of the river was my favorite part. Drinking coffee outside patio was amazing! The cabin had everything i needed. Lisa is quick to get back to you on any questions or matters you have.
