Jun 29, 2024 #### Super Cute Weekend Mountain Getaway We are from Washington and have been to Leavenworth a lot so we were not really interested in going into town. This cabin was the perfect get away. The community of Plain was super cute and there was a little farmers market we went to and then we just spent the rest of our time on site. Would recommend if you are looking to chill in the mountains. There are other cabins around but not super close as to feel like your privacy is invaded. Only thing I’d say is the stairs are steep for people who struggle with stairs and the hot tub was cold but we turned it up and it was ready to use for the next night no problems. Kitchen had everything you needed to prepare meals, and the deck was super nice especially if you wanted to grill. ##### Logan W. Sep 30, 2024 #### Beware the stairs The cabin itself is cute and cozy but we did run into some issues with the stairs in the cabin and leading to the front door. The outside stairs are slippery with no rails and a concrete slab that partially covers the top step making it an awkward decent. My friend had a bad fall when packing up to leave. The indoor stairs are steep with low head clearance so be careful coming down. We were disappointed when we arrived to learn there was a burn ban in place so we couldn't use the firepit. It would have been nice to get a warning about that before making the long trip. We did enjoy the hot tub and over all it was a good trip. ##### Andreana C. We loved the hot tub the most (lots of towels provided) and the location was just ok (this is not private or secluded as it is tucked in a housing development and you are surrounded by other houses). It’s 30min to Leavenworth and not much else is around this area unless you want to drive a ways. This was not our first choice and days before we were due to arrive at our original cabin we booked, our reservation was cancelled. This was the next best option so they said. We did not sleep in the bedroom upstairs as my husband is tall and the “A frame” upstairs didn’t really allow it. We chose to sleep on the pull out couch so I can’t speak to the level of confines of the beds. There were plenty of blankets and pillows and the only thing that didn’t work when we arrived was the main TV on the main floor. We didn’t end up sleeping upstairs because our little dog was afraid of the stairs and we didn’t feel like carrying her up and down. The pullout bed and futon were comfortable enough. We enjoyed lounging, cooking and visiting Leavenworth village, the little grocery store in Plain, and Lake Wenatchee. We also drive down to the river access by the cabana. It had everything you needed. The only compliment is that it’s not that remote. You have plenty of neighbors all around. Second, and biggest complaint, is that the hot in was basically useless. One of the biggest reason we decided on this place was because it had a hot tub. When we got there the hot tub was 65 degrees. It took more than 24 hours for it to heat up. The dishes in the cupboard were filthy, there was mouse excrement in the oven drawer, crumbs and other items in the cupboard turnstile, peeling paint on the rear deck, no DVD player, the stairs to the loft are steep with a low beam for head clearance, and a few other maintenance issues. That stated, the place was private and the hot tub was nice. The place was just okay.
