We understand the importance of a stress-free travel experience, which is why we offer plenty of free parking in our spacious parking lot - so you don't have to worry about navigating the tricky and expensive streets of Leadville. If you're an electric vehicle owner, we've got you covered! We have two Tesla EV charging stations right here at Mountain Hideaway, completely free for our guests to use. As for skiing and snowboarding, we're just a short drive away from some of the world's best ski resorts. Ski Cooper, with its family-friendly slopes, is only 10 miles away, while Copper Mountain is a quick 23-mile drive. Other Things to Note: License # 003314 This property does not have air conditioning. Yes, pets are allowed if you book the Whole House. There is a pet fee of $100 (2 pets max.) To make sure everyone can enjoy the space, Smoking or Vaping tobacco is strictly prohibited throughout the entire property. This includes balconies, decks, patios, the hot tub & the yard. You must go to the sidewalk or street to smoke tobacco. We will cancel your reservation if you smoke on the property. Marijuana smoking is fine as long as it's outside. The Mountain Hideaway has a 1 gigabit internet line broadcasted throughout the entire house, so the internet is incredibly fast in every single room! We have 2 Tesla EV charging stations at the Mountain Hideaway, free for guests! We do everything we can to be environmentally friendly at The Mountain Hideaway. The lodge is powered by renewable wind energy offsets and we've taken many steps to make sure our environmental impact is as little as possible. In Leadville/ Twin Lakes, the elevation can be up to 10,000 feet. Symptoms can include dizziness and nausea, so please be mindful of this. On the plus side, the size of the house was ideal for our group, offering enough room for everyone to be comfortable. The quick response from the maintenance team, when we reported heating issues in two bedroom was commendable. They promptly provided space heaters, ensuring our stay was not affected adversely by the cold. However, there were noticeable drawbacks. The overall maintenance of the property left much to be desired. Crooked cabinet doors and a lukewarm hot tub indicated a lack of attention to detail and regular upkeep. Basic supplies, such as a can opener, were surprisingly missing. Investing a small amount in essentials could significantly enhance the convenience for guests. A trip to the dollar store could easily address this issue. Furthermore, there was confusion regarding the amenities listed. The property was advertised as having laundry facilities, yet a sign on the laundry room door stated it was off-limits to tenants. This inconsistency between the listing and the actual accessibility of amenities was disappointing and misleading. In summary, while the rental home served its purpose in terms of size and management responding promptly to our immediate concerns. A lot of bed options for couples, but got a little tricky for the singles. Bedrooms are spacious, and comfy. Great space for a family reunion. We played corn hole (we brought), relaxed in hot tub, played pool, made large meals we cooked, and danced and sang and laughed till my cheeks hurt. Additionally, for groups that are concerned about sharing bathroom with large group, this property has bathrooms almost every corner on both floors to ensure no one has to wait to get ready or get busy. Everything was as advertised. Location was convenient to get to Copper (20-30 minute drive). Communication with the hosts was great - they provides us with a crab for a baby that we asked for. One thing to be aware is that Leadville is at 10,000 feet so it may make sense to acclimate at a lower altitude for people who are not from the Denver area. Mar 25, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Enjoyed our stay at this Mountain Hideaway The house was in a great location within walking distance to town and beautiful views of the mountains. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and it accommodated us very well. Vinyl flooring was nice so I wasn't worried about dirty shoes. The hot tub was a treat after playing in the snow and the kids loved having a TV in every room. The kitchen was spacious but I had a hard time cooking for our large family. Another 9x13 pan and a baking sheet would be nice. We had to use the covered pool table as a table which was fine but the only seating were the two benches that were too high to sit close to the table.
