Our 3-story chalet features a sauna, an expansive deck to take in the views, and even a private pickleball/platform tennis court (weather permitting). Option to sleep another person on an L-shaped couch with ottoman and mattress pad. Take advantage of nearby skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, fishing, and river rafting. 100% wind power from the utility provider. Satellite Internet and LTE work great! Stay connected or totally disconnect. Property is easily accessible in winter! Adjacent SH-300 road is regularly plowed by the State. Leadville sits at 10,200 feet in altitude and is centrally located in Colorado. Great place from which to launch adventures! Our group used this cabin as a home base for crewing, pacing, or running the Leadville Trail 100\. Driveway could fit 4 cars no problem, decent cell service, and location was close to the race start/finish, aid stations, and shuttle locations. Only downside of this place might be that the hardwood in the upstairs bedroom makes it more challenging to be quiet while other people are sleeping downstairs. Awesome property to hike around and explore up the hill to a little stream and more. So close to all of the Leadville activities but still out in the woods. We did ATV'ing, Paddleboards at Twin Lakes, Hiked up above Turquise Lake (Haggerman Trail), golfed at Mt. Massive course and hiked the little nature trail at the nearby (2 mintues away) fish hatchery. Inside of property is very cool. Fit our family perfect but was "cozy", which was good! Very well stocked kitchen as we cooked there 3 nights and spent one in town. We ate at the Tennessee Pass Cafe in town. I would recommend it! Large menu with tons of options in a cool old building, or you could sit outside. The deck overlooks the other house that is getting worked on by the road but didn't ruin the view and ambience of the mountains. I could sit there all day. Overall a great place to stay near Leadville. We usually move around different towns and places in Colorado but would stay there again for sure if near Leadville. Highly recommend! ##### Eric L. We loved that this place was a bit removed from town. It was so quiet and relaxing, but still close enough to everything we wanted to do. 30-45 minute drive to Copper mountain with zero traffic. Plenty to check out close by. The property had everything we needed. They even had snow shoes and cross country skis to try out. I tried the snow shoes, but my heavy frame and 2-3 feet of snow was just too much to overcome. But I still had fun. This location fit the bill 100%. We were 2 hours from Denver, Colorado Springs, and Glenwood springs. There was also plenty to keep us busy right near Leadville. The property owner was spot on with his description of the property and he had plenty of suggestions for local activities to keep us occupied. The cabin has great amenities and is in a cozy, quiet and secluded area. After full days of hiking the kitchen was clean and easy to navigate, amenities of shower and bathroom were excellent and the beds were like a five star hotel. We were only a short distance from Twin Lakes, Independence Pass, and Turquoise Lake! We really enjoyed the location! The property around the house was great for hiking! One thing I didn't like was the fact that your view of the front yard was the neighbor's roof. I feel like a "secluded" cabin shouldn't overlook another house. We were super comfy at the cabin and couldn't have asked for a better location for all the activities we were interested in. The cabin has fabulous hiking trails right out the door! We explored Mt. Huron, Hope Pass, Timberline Lake, Turquoise Lake, and the town of Leadville. The beds and linens were divinely comfortable.
