The cabin is nestled between two mountains up a 1/4 mile driveway very private. With a rustic look on the exterior while the interior is very luxurious top of the line appliances, washer and dryer, spacious kitchen open to the living area for entertaining. A second-floor Deck with an outdoor jacuzzi The cabin has two bedrooms The lower level has two beds and the second floor bedroom has one bed and one pull out bed in the sectional sofa. The downstairs also has two lounging chairs in front of a wood stove and a covered front porch with couch and chairs. We are close to Babcock state park, the New River for kayaking and fishing and only 45 minutes from Winterplace for excellent skiing. We are situated on 100 acres and next to the New River National Forest with miles of trails for hiking or riding ATV's or horses. This is also a great central location to enjoy many of the festivals in the area. This is a rural area so you should bring your groceries. although there is dollar store that has some groceries a few miles up the road in Danese. I've been to many places that claim to be secluded, but this was the first place that actually delivered seclusion! The property is beautiful. The pond and stream and hiking trails made exploring outside fun.We had a small issue with the propane tank running out (which only powered the stove top - so no heating problems!) but Joe was very responsive and had it taken care of right away. Overall, it was a great getaway for our little family. My only complaint is that the cabin is not meant for short people! I'm 5 feet even and really struggled in the kitchen. This huge property was very peaceful and included a little pond and a creek (!). And it is perfectly located for visiting the “New River Gorge” Nation Park. The cabin is extremely cozy and rustic with lots of wood, impressive hunting decoration and authentic furniture. The kitchen and the bathroom were well maintained and neat. It was a getaway for my husbands birthday and he loved every minute of it. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was awesome. I've lost count of how many times we've arrived at a rental only to find the bare minimum was provided (and sometimes not even that!) but that was certainly not the case here. The row boat/canoe and gym area were my sons favorite. I adored petting and feeding the horses. We all loved hiking along the creek. It was a really peaceful stay all around! ##### Charlene M. Was a nice place to unplug but not to far to join the public (40 min drive). Walking in is surprising…. But main living is on the second floor. Very relaxing atmosphere. Was very clean. We usually don’t go to the same place twice but this property is on the list to revisit. We enjoyed the horses coming by for a carrot now and then. The cabin was nice and I especially appreciated the bed and linens. It's the perfect escape into nature. Our three dogs had the time of their lives exploring off-leash and swimming in the pond—it was truly dog heaven! We spent our days hiking through the woods and our evenings unwinding on the porch, taking in the peaceful sounds of nature. One of the highlights was stargazing under the crystal-clear night sky—absolutely magical. If you're looking for a peaceful, private getaway where you can truly disconnect, this place is it.
