This 2 bedroom holiday apartment is in the centre of Wengen just off the high street near the supermarket, shops and just 170m from the train station. Located in the family-friendly “car-free” village of Wengen with the nursery ski slope right outside and just steps from the Maennlichen cable car, the mountains and ski areas are truly on your doorstep! This top-floor apartment sleeps up to 6 people. It has 2 double bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed, and 1 double sofa bed on the mezzanine level. All beds are European sizes. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 with a bath, shower overhead and WC and 1 with a shower cubicle, plus a separate WC. Belmont is a gorgeous penthouse apartment newly built to a high standard with a luxury feel and quality furnishings. Its modern open-concept living/dining and kitchen area is the perfect gathering place, making it easy to cook, eat, entertain and relax all in one space! Watch the world go by directly from the living room through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows or adjourn to the balcony with a glass of wine and some fine Swiss cheeses while you soak in the fabulous views and relax after a day of hiking or skiing! There is a ski storage room outside for your convenience and a washer/dryer combo machine in the apartment. Get 20% off ski rentals at SkiSet Wengen when you book this apartment. What you should know... Although Wengen is a "car-free" mountain village, arriving by car is no problem. There is a large multi-storey car park at Lauterbrunnen train station, with trolleys for your luggage and lifts to the station platforms. It is just a 14-minute scenic cog train ride up to Wengen. The trains depart every 30 minutes until 9.30 pm and then hourly. Taxis are available for hire at Wengen train station if required. For those planning to explore the Jungfrau region, we at Wengen Apartments offer the convenience of purchasing tickets on your behalf. Please contact us before your arrival to arrange this service. As part of your booking, a mandatory non-refundable damage waiver of CHF 35 is required. The apartment is very spacious, well equipped, clean and beautiful. Our family of three stayed for three nights during August. The apartment is right in the heart of Wengen and all the activities. Yet, when you close the doors and windows it’s quiet and calm. The village is somewhat lacking for quality food and coffee choices but you don’t come here for the culinary scene. We ended up having most of our meals in Lauterbrunnen. Speaking of Lauterbrunnen, be sure to try the pizza at the Hotel Spend at least one sunset sitting on a bench in front of Evangelisch reformierte Kirche, the church on Wengen’s north end. We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Chalet Belmont Penthouse. It was absolutely beautiful, clean and equipped with every amenity imaginable to make our vacation easy and enjoyable. The location is unbeatable, with the tram being mere feet from the front door. And the ski rental stores are also within a minute walking distance away. The shed for ski storage was fabulous and the ease of check in and check out was wonderful, especially for tires travelers after an overnight flight.
