"Pros: Exceptionally well-equipped kitchen with quality cookware, appliances (2 ovens, smooth cooktop, large fridge, dishwasher), spices, storage containers, and more. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, clean hot tub, grill, filtered water, reliable Wi-Fi (handled 7 devices), and responsive owners. The secluded setting offers stunning mountain views from the decks, hot tub, and picture windows, plus excellent stargazing, hiking, and nearby fishing. Dog friendly (fee applies), child friendly (highchair, books, toys, child locks), and thoughtfully stocked with extra blankets, pillows, towels (including hot tub towels), tissues, soap, paper products, bug spray, bear spray, binoculars, and a small bedroom fan. The cabin was spotless with no bugs or spiders. Wildlife sightings included deer and chipmunks. Three bathrooms & plenty of hot water for our group. The family history markings by the upstairs door added a charming personal touch.Cons: Access can be challenging, especially for low-clearance vehicles or in bad weather, so use the owners' directions instead of GPS on your first trip. Occasional nighttime noises (pipes?), a propane-like smell some mornings in the upstairs bedroom, one queen bed that felt slanted (room near bike & weights), only one ice tray, and soft water that leaves residue on dishes/skin. We couldn’t get the sauna to work. A fire ban prevented use of the fire pit, though that's beyond the owners' control."

"Initially I found two different listings for the property that differed in their detail. Then, in pursuing an accurate view I discovered that properties can be described differently by different sites. Combining the descriptions of the two sites on which this cabin was listed I got an accurate picture of it. It turned out to be exactly what the sites described. The weather in Creede, Colorado was unexpectedly warm at the time; the cabin turned out to be a bit warm too. Otherwise our three nights there were quite comfortable and we had no problems. The traveler needs to understand that many of the restaurants close in mid afternoon. And those who stay open tend to be more expensive. Plan ahead if this schedule does not agree with your schedule. The cabin's kitchen was well equipped, but since the family actively uses the cabin, visitors are asked not to use their supply of spices and the such."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The dual-tier deck provides wonderful views across the valley and toward the mountains in Creede. We enjoyed them while in the hot tub, as well. The house is comfortable for several guests with 3 bathrooms and comfortable beds. Walking to town was very convenient. We enjoyed our stay.Steep driveway!"
