Bells Beach Lookout is not a generic vacation rental. It is a comfort-first, accessibility-forward retreat for guests who value quality, quiet, and thoughtful design.
Perfect Guest Fit
Ideal for couples, friend groups, and multi-generational travelers — especially those who value accessibility, cooking together, and quiet mornings with a view.
I have a dream team of folks who move garbage cans, maintain the garden, and maintain the hot tub. I can support remotely and if any solutions require a person on site, someone from the team on Whidbey Island will be available.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Bryan, on our maintenance team, will move garbage cans and sometimes leaf blow.
Bells Beach is a very quiet neighborhood and a five minute drive to the town of Langley. There are common sightings of eagles, herons, porpoises, and whales.
Although Bells Beach Lookout is not officially classified as ADA-compliant, modifications were made to the home to allow for wheelchairs, walkers, and scooters. Guests can enjoy a stairless entry using the carport parking and 36" wide hallways, entrances, and openings to rooms.
In addition to the driveway, there is parking behind the house in the two-car-covered carport, so guests can enjoy a stairless entry. The carport is flat, has motion detector lights, and is plenty wide enough for a van and another ten feet of room. Guests who require a 36" wide entry can use the glass gate from the carport, and follow the wide deck to the front of the house. To enter the house, guests enter through the glass door on the front deck which is 36" wide and has a ramp on either side - accessible for wheels and walkers.

It’s very much about island life and the natural world here. Guests come to walk the beaches, explore the tidepools, and hike the trails. People also watch for local wildlife, such as eagles and herons, as well as grey and orca whales. Our tall Evergreens are a perennial draw. Other nearby activities and attractions include the nearby off-leash dog parks, wineries, beaches, boat launches, and marinas. We’re close to the artistic town of Langley with restaurants, galleries, shops, and easy access to the waterfront.
House Rules:
\-PETS - One or two dogs are allowed. A $75 pet fee will apply. Please no dogs on the furniture or the bedding. Only well behaved dogs who won't bark can be left unattended. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by dogs (scratching wood trim, clawing leather furniture, cleaning carpets etc...)
\-HOT TUB. Our top of the line hot tub is serviced after every check out and is designed for three people at any time. More than three will cause an unbalance in the pH and could result in a drain + refill. Please rinse in the shower before entering the hot tub to ensure a clean hot tub. If the hot tub requires a drain and refill due to excessive dirt, broken glass, or products not suitable for hot tubs, guests are responsible for the $150 drain and refill fee.
\-BE A GOOD NEIGHBOR -Out of respect for our neighbors and the serenity of this location, please no outdoor noise between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. NO -ON STREET PARKING. Please park in driveway and in carport only -Please follow the one-way signs and only enter the neighborhood using Center Street. -When driving down the alley behind the house, please drive at the posted speed of 5 MPH. Please note that this property is for guests 13 years and older.

What a wonderful home to stay in. We have rented many homes, and this is in our top two for cleanliness, location and owner communication. The heated deck was a plus, as well as the ease to reach everything we wanted to do on the island. There is hiking only minutes away and access to either ferry is easy and convenient. We would definitely stay here again....in fact, we are hoping to make this a yearly stay. Thank you for allowing travelers to enjoy this lovely property.

#### An absolutely incredible stay!
My husband and I stayed here with my mom and one of our close friends. My mom is very picky about bnb’s and this one exceeded her expectations! Everything was updated, clean, and the added amenities were awesome. The added touch of leaving hygiene products in the bathroom and extra coffee and snacks in the kitchen was so generous and not often found elsewhere. Gorgeous views of the bay and can’t forget how awesome the hot tub is! Thank you so much for letting us stay in this amazing home, we will be back!

#### Everything we wanted and more!
My husband's family was visiting from Iowa and Boston for my MIL's 75th birthday. The host was so nice and quick to answer all my questions. We are so happy we chose Bells Beach! They brought their 16 year old dog who loved the beach and hanging out on the deck. We love how cozy the house was. The house was even better than I was expecting, they thought of everything! The kitchen had every tool we needed, the bathrooms were supplied with backup toiletries in case you forgot something and there were plenty of games and books. We loved the telescope and binoculars so we watch the orcas. All in all, this was the best home rental we have every had and hope to be able to come back.

The home was a perfect place for our family to stay as we gathered for a friend's wedding on the island. The quiet neighborhood was perfect for our adult children as they worked remotely during the day. We all enjoyed sitting on the deck to enjoy views of the water and mountains, as well as the moon rising. It was a perfect home base to return to after all the wedding activities. Had good communication throughout the stay with the hosts. Would love to return again.

A vacation home that has the ease of mobility is very difficult to find. Bellbeach Outlook is very accommodating for those with mobility problems, very wheelchair, walker accessible. Whidbey Island is a great island to explore from the south all the way to Deception Pass State Park. There are small towns or communities to discover. Everything that you need is provided. Vanessa went beyond expectations to accommodate my husband's limited mobility. Bells Beach Overlook is beautifully situated to enjoy Saratoga Sound's activity and the mountains beyond. Furnishings and supplies are exceptional - even down to a "did you forget something" box with toothbrush, etc. no need to buy spices or cooking oils; coffee and tea are provided. We enjoyed the cool days on the deck thanks to overhead heating. Quick drive to charming Langely for shops and restaurants and to Freeland for groceries. You won't be disappointed.

We loved our stay so much! The home is very clean, well stocked, and comfy. We spent most of our time on the big covered and heated deck. A great surprise is the deck wraps around the house to a small yard for the dog(s). All fenced = no worries. The view is breathtaking! The owner, Vanessa, is wonderful!! We’ll be back for sure!

#### Wow! Best vacation ever!!
This place was amazing! Very clean and comfortable. We slept like a rock every night, the bed in the primary room was very comfortable. There were plenty of blankets and fluffy pillows. The kitchen has everything you could need, plenty of cookware and spices. I really appreciated the microwave popcorn and tea selections. And, the welcome book with dining, hiking and information about the area was really helpful. The home is stocked with books about the area, wildlife, shells and beaches. We had minimal contact with Vanessa but she was very helpful when we did contact her. Don’t miss the neighborhood beach! And sunrises on the porch! We didn’t bring our dogs so I can’t comment on that aspect but the neighborhood is very dog friendly. And the location is spectacular, close to Langley, a very cute town. I watched the sun come up in the mornings when it was sunny. But even on rainy days, it was the perfect place. I wanted to stay longer and we are already planning our next stay at Bells Beach. I feel like I haven’t explained how great our stay was but I definitely recommend this home. It was our best vacation ever!!

#### Beautiful home with great view
The home was very comfortable and offered a lovely view of Possession Sound. It was ideal for our group of 2 older couples and our older dog. The kitchen was very well stocked including plastic, paper and some spices too. Furnishings and mattresses were well appointed and in great condition. We were able to walk to the beach from the house but it was a bit farther than we anticipated : a good 10 minute walk to the access via a private road. Still it was worth it ! We spotted a ton of herons and had a close encounter with a bald eagle. Access to the house was easy and we had no trouble communicating with the host. I would definitely recommend this rental .

#### Baumgartner wedding stay on Whidbey
The house was beautiful and we loved sitting on the deck in the morning and evening to see the stunning views of the Puget Sound! The beach was only a 10 minute walk from the house, which we loved. Very comfortable stay and I would definitely recommend renting the home to anyone staying on Whidbey Island!

#### Perfect location on Whidbey Island
We planned a get together with our adult kids here. Everyone found things to enjoy - fishing, hiking, good restaurants and I loved the artist scene on Whidbey. The house provides enough space for getting together and having quiet time. The deck was perfect - even a heater over the dining table. Wonderful home.

We stayed in this home for a week—both of us writers working on projects. It was quiet and peaceful (morning coffee on the deck with that view was a highlight). Highly, highly recommend staying with Vanessa. She is so easy to communicate with—and so helpful! We’ll be back next year to write away!

#### Bells Beach Outlook
This property is in a perfect setting on Whidbey Island. The neighborhood is quiet, the views are outstanding, and the island is complete with charming residents. The house floorplan is perfect for two couples or more with the downstairs daylight bedroom and sitting area. Each of the two bedrooms have a private bath. The beds are very comfortable, and the linens are top quality. The kitchen and living area are open concept with dining and seating areas that fit six comfortably. The covered viewing deck was designed with a large tempered glass wall that protects from prevailing winds and a ceiling heater bar for added warmth. We were able to enjoy coffee and dinner on the deck regardless of the breeze and rain. Situated on the Saratoga Passage the water view is beautiful and the beach is accessible, especially during the low tide. The property owner is very responsive and provided some great ideas for day outings on Whidbey Island. The property is as shown in the pictures; it is clean and accessible for folks who might have mobility challenges. We truly appreciated having opportunity to stay at Bells Beach and visit Whidbey Island.

#### Perfect girls weekend!
Our little group of 4 had such a wonderful time staying at Belles Beach! The location is beautiful and just as described. The Photos of the house don't do it justice....it's more adorable in person. The store was close, nothing out of reach, but this little neighborhood is anything but busy. And communicating with the owner was the easiest I've had! quick, clear, and so helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay and helping make our weekend amazing!

#### Peaceful retreat
We had a lovely time. The view is terrific. The place was very clean and quiet for a few days of relaxing. Super location, close to downtown Langley. Very well stocked kitchen to work in and set up very nicely. Super thoughtful touches from the host like doggie biscuits, people treats and individual soaps and shampoos. Loved it. Thank you for a great stay.

View was amazing. Hot tub is tiny - 2 adults and it is maxed out. Lights switches are very hard to find, as are switches to turn on fireplace and porch heat. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Quiet and relaxing
