We had a miserable experience
I will begin by saying there was an incident at the house. My sister had to park on the street because the owners car was in the driveway and she accidentally backed up into his mailbox, there was no damage to her rental car but the mailbox was tilted and bent. The owner said, “We obtained full footage of the incident and the person will be charged with hit and run. …in the video there is also a person tampering and conspiring to tamper with evidence which is a criminal act” (This was us trying to upright the mailbox and stomping on the wet dirt so it wouldn’t fall any farther.) Hit and run? We were still staying in the house that night and the following day so we hardly ran away. My sister had full coverage on the car and Hertz is handling the claim. They needed information such as his full name but he didn’t want to give her?! He has continued to harass my sister with text messages to this day. His communication has been both slow and rude. It wasn’t until I was on the plane that he responded with the information on how to get into the house. There was no toilet paper and he told us we could come over and he would give me tissue. We asked if he could drop some toilet paper off in the morning and he replied "NP". At 9am we asked if he could drop it by. He responded at 6:15pm "No, You can come pick it up. ..I'm very busy during the day and don't look at my phone" The couch was ripped, the door knob kept falling off in the BR and if you sat in one chair you fell through it.
