« Our good friends daughter was getting married at the Fern Hall Estate and we did not like the hotel options provided. We couldn’t have had a better weekend. « I did a solo trip (+pup) to reset after a particularly rough work season. The cabin was lovely, rustic worn furniture but cozy and comfortable. The house was packed with the essentials including fire wood. There was a smart tv mounted in the living room and the water pressure was perfect in the shower. « House is decored like museum with lot of antique look like pieces and lot of furniture. Bed rooms are spead between 2nd floor and basement, most of the bedroom have individual air conditioner except bedrooms in basement. Kitchen is big enough with lot of utensils to cook your own food. Good enough light in the kitchen. Dining table is only for 8 people though total capacity of the house to stay is 23. Overall place is fine for the money you pay and if you are not looking for modern new look...

« This house was in a great location with awesome lakefront views while maintaining privacy, which is super rare for a lake property. I loved the historic charm and updates.The fall colors on the lake were incredible and a welcome sight to wake up to. A couple of notes that I did not pick up from the listing: the house is separated from the lake by a road and the boat house is in pretty rough shape, but this house was something special and we would recommend anyone to stay there. »
