Great yard area for my dog as well. The yard is not fenced and is right near a road so I would definitely suggest a longline/tie out line for your dogs. Everything was super clean, and we appreciated the high quality cookware/kitchen equipment. Great access for hiking/outdoor activities and a short drive into Lake Placid. Wilmington was a perfect location to explore from and it was close to both Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and the drive up to Whitehead Mountain (it snowed while we were up there!). We also drove down to Fort Ticondaroga and would highly recommend that as a side trip if you have the time. The house was smallish but efficient, and was exactly as listed/pictured. The beds were comfy and we appreciated the little touches like hand soap, TP, paper towels, and small toiletries that were available as needed. The only thing we found missing in the kitchen was a cookie sheet for nachos. :-) We didn’t have a chance to use the hot tub, sauna, or fire pit during our stay, but our dog loved the large yard and we saw several deer one evening. Communication with Judi before, during, and after our stay was exemplary. We really appreciated that she checked in to make sure arrival went smoothly and that everything was ok. We also appreciated all the information sent before we arrived, including restaurant recommendations. Rudy’s Scar Bar was a surprise hit for us! We loved our time in the Lake Placid area and we would definitely stay at Mountain Chalet again when we return! Thanks to Judi and Aseem for sharing your lovely home with us! ##### Tracey B. It felt like home away from home. It was so roomy and comfortable. Each of the three bedrooms had a very comfortable bed and television. The living area was perfect for hanging out and has a very unique floor (loved it) that was easy to keep clean. The outside offers plenty of room for parking. We were too busy to enjoy the hot tub, sauna and firepit, but definitely make time if you can! The location is close enough to Lake Placid without the traffic, and would be the perfect location for skiing at Whiteface. Judi was super helpful, offering suggestions for local hikes and places to eat as well as letting us know what we may need to bring along for the trip. She also made sure we made it there and that everything was as expected, which was much appreciated. Our group included 3 adults and 3 dogs and all 6 of us really enjoyed our stay! The house was lovely and super clean. The hot tub was a real nice bonus, right outside the kitchen door. One of the most dog friendly rentals we’ve had with no pet fee. The only thing to be aware of is there are two bathrooms, but one is on the first floor, which is a little inconvenient for the two bedrooms. ##### Kathleen O. There were 5 women who had a fantastic weekend away. The place was perfect. Location was great.. Close enough to town and to various hikes! Beds were super comfy! Hot tub and sauna were an excellent treat at an end of a day of hiking.
