Welcome to Dancing Waters Lodge, a spacious lakefront retreat located inside the gated Rumbling Bald community on Bald Mountain Lake. This peaceful private lake is non-motorized, making it ideal for swimming, bass fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
With 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and space for 10–12 guests, the home is perfect for family vacations, holiday gatherings, retreats, and golf weekends.
Step outside and enjoy the best of mountain lake living—two large decks, a screened porch, a private floating dock, and your own fleet of kayaks, SUP boards, and a canoe.
After a day on the water, relax in the private hot tub overlooking the lake.

Lovely Family Getaway

We have spent a long weekend at this property for the last two years. There are 11 of us (three couples and five kids). The house fits us perfectly. The kitchen is well stocked, and there's a nice long indoor table. The dock is lovely and the water is deep.

Peaceful lake vacaction

We loved this lakefront vacation home. We were a group of 10, including 4 kids. The kids had a blast on the paddle boards and kayaks. Since there were no motorized vehicles in the water it felt like the safest waterfront vacation we've had. The kids played for hours while we sat on the deck or kayaked around near them, but we weren't worried about their safety (like we would be at the ocean)! It was amazing. The house was roomy and beautiful and had everything we could need. We saw a huge turtle in the water, lots of bats (yay!), a beaver and so many fish. This was such a peaceful and lovely vacation spot!

Great location for family fun

Loved this place! Had kids aged 5-10, parents, and grandparents. being part of Rumbling Bald was very convenient, having access to the pools, beach, restaurant (great pizza, btw) made the visit even more enjoyable. Family loved the paddleboards and kayaks, as well as fishing off the dock. Apple picking, waterfall hikes, and creameries all within 45min-1 hr, so plenty of activities to do. Beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well stocked. Grocery is 20 min away but very nice and large. We would definitely come back!!!

Memorial Day week at Dancing Waters Lodge

We had a fantastic week at Dancing Waters Lodge. The home was spacious and well appointed. It was immaculately clean and was very well stocked for cooking and kitchen supplies. The lake was beautiful and very tranquil, quiet and peaceful. Weather was fantastic low 70’s low humidity, and generally a nice breeze. Our property managers were fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer week. We will be back.

Just Beautiful

It was even more beautiful than described! The early mornings on the Lake was something I've only seen in movies! It truly is breath takingly beautiful! The whole family each had a comfortable sleeping area and plenty of restrooms to use! Surrounding areas had so much to do for whole family (Zip lining, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, golfing, to name a few) It was perfect for us all to come together and celebrate our 40th anniversary! Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your place!

Beautiful Home on Bald Lake

This home is located on Bald Lake. The home has been updated and includes all the amenities we were looking for. The owners thoughtfully provided kayaks, a couple of paddle boards and a canoe. We could have fished off the dock and caught all the bluegill and bass we wanted. I especially liked the back deck. Part of the deck is screened in (to keep any bugs out) and part of it is open. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and staring at the lake. I especially appreciated the management company. When we suggested that the pillows might need to be provided, they were they in a matter of hours to replace the old with new pillows. I also appreciated all their advice in pre-trip planning when they suggested things to do and places to see. Great place with great views. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again!

Fabulous Lake House

When looking for a property we wanted a place big enough for each of kids to have their own room so a friend can come. Space was large. Kids enjoyed having lower area downstairs to themselves. There were plenty of amenities. The lake is nice and quiet. The screened in porch was my favorite place to relax. Sue was wonderful with communication and answered all questions and concerns quickly. Would definitely stay here or work with these property managers again.

Perfect getaway

The house was warm and inviting with a super view of the lake below. It was very convenient to the surrounding towns, and attractions Everything was very clean and well appointed. Our family is already looking forward to staying there again. We highly recommend this home for any vacation purposes.

Extended family get together

My husband and I (along with 3 kids) and his parents, and brother and family (2 kids) enjoyed a long weekend at Lake Lure. We had great fun kayaking and canoeing as well as fishing off the dock and from the canoe. The property gave us plenty of space for the 3 families without feeling like we were on top of each other. The facilities were good - although rain and the short trip prevented us from trying all of it. The hosts were great very communicative before, throughout the stay, and when we checked out. Highly recommend.

There were 8 of us - 2 families of 4 and I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Beautiful home, even better than advertised. Property managers were helpful and attentive (small issue with ice maker not working). We had such a wonderful time swimming, floating around in the lake and….relaxing!! Would definitely consider returning.

Perfect lakefront family reunion

The house is just as pictured from accommodations and additional amenities. Location offers easy access to a few restaurants, 2 separate lakes and 2 golf courses. Love that this house is situated on a lake that does not allow motorized vehicles.

Excellent place to enjoy a relaxing time with family & friends

We loved this place!! Such a beautiful house on the lake and the community is beautiful. Sue ( host ) explained the Checkin and Check out process. Very friendly and attentive. I am not very easy to please so for me to give it an excellent review is rare. Very clean and well organized. Everything about this house and the surrounding areas were perfect My only regret is not staying longer or discovering this place sooner for past vacations. Friends are already asking me to send them the information based on our experience. We will most definitely come back. An unforgettable vacation. Thank you Sue for taking great care of us !!

Welcoming and serene lakefront home

We loved our long weekend stay at Dancing Waters Lodge and highly recommend it for others. Communication with the property managers was efficient, responsive, accommodating, and easy. We received detailed directions and instructions for an easy check-in. The home is beautifully situated overlooking the lake with plenty of outdoor seating and space. The kitchen was well equipped with more than we needed for our stay. Each of the bedrooms (we used 4) were comfortable and clean. The entire home was very clean, comfortable and just as expected from the pictures online. The location was perfect for what we wanted - a place to write, meditate, discuss and get away from the business of daily life. We hiked nearby and enjoyed the lake. Overall we were very happy with our stay and hope to come again.

Great stay!

We had a great time and everything was just as we expected or better. There was a leak in one of the bathrooms and it was handled very quickly and with no inconvenience to us. The only thing that was commented by the group that could be better was the beds. Some were very hard and some were also squeaky.
