Although the lake is closed and lowered while Hurricane Helene cleanup continues, there is much that our beautiful foothills area has to offer. SHUMONT LAKE, LAKE ADGER, LAKE LANIER, and MIRROR LAKE suffered no damage, so homes and those lakes are available. BALD MOUNTAIN LAKE in the resort is open and beautiful. We are welcoming guests in over 60 beautiful homes to use as a "home base" for visiting nearby towns, restaurants, shops, hiking areas, and seasonal special events in Lake Lure, Hendersonville, Asheville, Black Mountain, Saluda, and Tryon. Golf is open to the public at Rumbling Bald, and local area wineries, breweries, trails, and music are within an hour's drive. Many of the Chimney Rock shops are set up at the Tryon International Equestrian Center Pavilion. Chimney Rock Park is now open! We had a great visit. There were a few things to consider: Most rooms don’t have dressers Grill needs a wire brush to properly clean Bottom bathroom and 2nd floor bathroom (need flappers replaced) Bottom bathroom needs blinds A few burnt out bulbs, (most noticeably in master bathroom) House details - had incorrect information regarding trash disposal/pickup Some type of sound system that can be paired with a blue tooth device, is common in most houses of this price point.
